  1. Wiki says quite the reverse. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adolf_Hitler_and_vegetarianism
  2. Did other e-cig shops make you feel crushed and devalued?
  3. malumbu Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > My post was funny No it really wasn't. The Finnair/thinair 'pun' (and the rest) would barely amuse a four-year-old. But, I'm glad your own post amused you.
  4. I always wonder why the old Irish airline, Air Lingus, never had an ad campaign that used the tagline 'Cunning Lingus'.
  5. I use kayak.co.uk for flights. It's never let me down! The +/- 3 days feature (it's a bit hidden, but it's there!) is really useful as it shows if you can make savings by changing your flying days slightly. Friday is not usually the cheapest day to fly, so if you can be a bit flexible, you might save. If you use 'LON' as the airport code, it picks up all London airports. The other think you want to check is legroom. It varies wildly and if you are going to be 8 hours on a flight, check you won't be too cramped, especially if it's an overnight flight. I'm 5'11" and legroom can be a real issue for me on longer flights.

  7. Point 11 was rather incorrect, as well. They laughed at Ed M because he failed in bacon sandwich eating, not because he was Jewish, and certainly not because he was a Jew eating bacon.
  8. Jah Lush Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > This makes for an interesting read. > > How Israel lobby manufactured UK Labour Party?s anti-Semitism crisis. That's serious tinfoil hat stuff. Especially the bit about the "right wing" of the Labour party. I'm a bit torn on this one. Not sure what Livingstone said was directly anti-Semitic, but he was in the midst of defending someone who had been making anti-Semitic comments. And Ken has previous form of dabbling in a bit of anti-Semitism himself. But I think the decision to suspend him was a furious piece of kneejerk attempted damage control by Labour. I suspect Ken will be back soon.

    Speed check

If you don't minding spend just under a quid for an app, try Ski Tracks. It's made for skiers (obviously...) but it will show you you maximum speed over a distance. So, sit on 30 for a little bit and then see what the max speed recorded was.
  10. ianr Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > BTW, zebra crossings are Schedule 1, not Schedule 4. Ah, yes. Good point! Nevertheless, there is a very good argument that the layby does not constitute the carriageway and the lines within the layby are therefore invalid.
  11. As I said earlier in this thread, I don't see how the markings are in line with the legislation. http://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/1997/2400/schedule/4/made I would say the lines would have to be as per diagram 3 or 6, depending on how you view that central reservation. In either case, there seems to be a requirement for lines at the edge of the carriageway, which that photos suggest none exist.
  12. I reckon they are remote controlled CCTV. Operators can move them around to prevent CCTV blindspots.
  13. And if you start to examine the net givers vs the net takers...

I've seen you use the word 'ideology' in a derogatory sense before. You do realise that the NHS was born through an ideology?
  15. But the S postcode was (and is) assigned to Sheffield.

  17. But was it 'criminal fraud'? My understanding was it all involved a bus that toured various electorates. The expenses were charged to a national expense centre, where they now understand it should have been divvied up amongst each electorate budget.
  18. If we vote for Brexit, I guarantee you that the UK will still sign up for TTIP. Which rather nullifies everything in Jah's post.
  19. You confused the European Union with the European Broadcasting Union, uncleglen? http://rs671.pbsrc.com/albums/vv71/mycircleoflife/Rofl.gif~c200
  20. Actually, only 22 of the 24 were won by Tories. It's very unlikely they would lose all 22 (especially to Corbyn-led Labour) and they still have 8 DUP MPs that will almost certainly support them if required, though at some cost to the treasury...

Do it the other way around - i.e. one of Zac/Khan as your second vote and one of the minors as you first. That way, both of your votes will get counted,

    Prince

The Beeb reports he was found in a lift. Were his last words, "I ain't gonna let the elevator bring us down"?

Since there is a retrial ordered, I'd guess not until that is over. If he is found guilty again, then it will remain as it were. Should that have a 'not guilty' verdict, then there should be no impediment to his career.

Surely they are just "expressing themselves"? You know, as in "whether you like it or not".
