  1. Hi James Yesterday a badly printed inkjet leaflet saying cars need to be moved for line marking, today double yellows painted. We've had no notice of this is this for real? It's a back street and it's a struggle to park at the best of times. Should residents have been notified? What is the councils logic behind it? Crystal Palace Road between Crathrew Grove and North Cross Road Please advise
  2. Double yellows have now been painted on CPR between crathrew grove and upland road. Looks like it's going down towards the leisure centre too. As if parking wasn't bad enough already.
  3. If you know ********** can you please let her know I have found something that belongs to her. Please pm me or get ****** to pm me. Thanks NOW FOUND

Not sure how it compares to others, but wouldn't say it was alot considering the website states the following: DMC Healthcare operates the following GP practices: DMC Crystal Palace Road DMC Chadwick Road DMC Silverlock, Rotherhithe DMC Medway NHS Healthcare Centre, Gillingham DMC Medway Walderslade GP surgery, Chatham DMC Sheppey NHS Healthcare Centre, Sheerness DMC Vicarage Lane, Stratford I also seem to remember they had just taken over a surgery in Enfield & one in North London when I left. ?1.8m divided by 9 isn't a massive profit.
  5. DMC runs a large number of practices, not just CPR and Chadwick, they employ a large number of staff. I have been a patient since the 70's and worked with them for a while. CPR had over 12,000 patients on the books at one point. Sr Dr Gupta puts in a very rare apperance and the DMC group is managed by 2 sons. One as a Dr and the other manages the accounts. should we care how much someone earns if the service provided is acceptable. Anyone that runs a business well, puts the right people in the right places to do the job right
  6. southwark councils website. Google southwark parking ticket appeal and you should find it.
  7. I would suggest you appeal online asap. They put the ticket on hold. You need to scan your ticket and send them the picture, I think you may be able to attach evidence to the appeal. the online appeal is much easier than trusting the jokers at the parking office not to loose your letter. You get an automated email telling you they have received it and that its in the system.
  8. Clearing the data is a start but the phone is still saleable unfortunately, it needs something a little more hardcore.
  9. Surely there must be something the mobile phone companies can do to make the phones useless following a theft. If they could frazzle a chip in the phone or something similar, there would be no value in stolen phones.
  10. can you speak to someone about youths filling up petrol cans in the petrol station, just witnessed a very suspicious young guy filling up a can with no lid in texaco by the station, surely this should be being monitored,
  11. Has anyone been there? Its on Standstead Road Been sent an email with a deal on - Meal for 2 ?15 - Here is the link Meal for 2 ?15 I've never been there before, thought at ?15 it was worth a try. Your thoughts please Thanks
  12. you could pop into one of the newsagents on lordship, they might do them and you can ask their advise, if all else fails you could go into Peckham, loads of stalls in shop front selling them cards. Or Find out if they can get skype, if they can both set up a skype and talk online for free. Or set up skype for free on your computer and buy some skype credit, gives good rates to landlines in other countries so they don't need to have skype. Inlaws did this wit family in New Zealand and it was really cheap. Best of luck
  13. hi Ollie Just to reiterate Do Not let them in, they will try anything to get over your threshold, don't even let them come in whilst you go to get paperwork. I would suggest that you call national debt helpline, they are brilliant and free. I am not sure how the debt will effect your credit rating, unless its in your name, I know sometimes they will relate people at your address to you, however you can query this with experian and request this to be removed, you may be able to get a 14 day free trial with experian, so you can check, they also offer a cheap service, which is only a few quid a month and they email you if anything has been added to your file. Personally I would draft a letter explaing the situation, get a copy of your passport and have it ready for if they turn up, to be honest a lot of the letters are just hot air. If they turn up and will not go, I would call national debt line whilst at the door with them. They know they have no rights, its only police and major criminal warrants, possibly council Tax (but not even sure they can) that they have a right to break in. The police are not very helpful in situations like this. Hope everything turns out OK. Best of Luck Regards
  14. not related to this thread in any way. I put a post in this section on friday night 5ish warning that the trains to ED where up the spout, it lasted about 10 mins before it got lounged. I see that as a ED issue, think admin has been a bit silly this week, moving nearly everthing of this section.
  15. no trains running to east dulwich or Peckham due to broken down train at queens road

My message was added as the description fitted, not as my hubby dectected any suspicious activity, he thought it was a bit strange but didn't in the slightest bit deem it to be suspicious.
  17. This fits the description of someone that was parked on crystal palace road today, he was in a black people carrier, husband said he had post bags in his boot and was delivering letters and then kept periocally returning to the car and rummaging in the boot for more letters. Husband seems to think it may have been a stand in postie. Might be worth someone checking it out with the sorting office. We have also had a set of ladders and a Plastering platform stolen from our back garden on thursday last week. Despite people being in and out the house all day nothing was seen, it wasn't scrap men as there are other bits lying about that would have been an interest.
  18. I too think the stalls facing into the middle of the road would be much better. Cant understand how the council have a waiting list, yet there are never stalls solidly all the way to Willows. Perhaps they should offer a few pitches based on a first come first served basis like Camden. Also surprised I haven't seen any comments about the road sign on the pavement. Its right in the middle of the wide section of pavement which I think is really dangerous and not very noticable to drivers.
  19. Just seen some news: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-12355878

  21. just coming through the village and its pretty traffic free but exceptionally slippy. Clapham was atrocious.
  22. Has anyone thought to check gumtree for the bikes, a colleague of mine has his bike stolen on Tuesday, on Tuesay night an advert was placed on gumtree for exactly the same bike, he arranged to meet the guy the following day, only 5 minutes from where it had been stolen (which incidently was by a block of flats from where the guy appeared with the bike). My colleague was positive it was his bike so asked for a test ride, he then rode of with the guy screaming at him. The bike turned out to be his and the police are now looking at many other bikes this guy had advertised on gumtree. Its worth a try, but if you think its your bike, you should at least report the advert as it is happening all the time.
  23. Went past the gun shop on LL today only to see its gone. What happened? was there no longer any call for that on LL. Surprised its been there so long. Still im glad to see the back of that.
