I need to undertake this course and wondered if anyone had recommendations of where to do it in London at all? Or places to avoid. I'd like to do the foundation and practitioner. Thanks!

Christmas present things to do for 60yr old parents
*Anna* replied to *Anna*'s topic in The Family Room Discussion
Thanks Catgirl - thats exactly up their street! -
Trying to find something to buy for my parents (60ish) for their Christmas present. Something that will get them out and about in Dulwich or the surrounding areas and wondered if anyone had clever ideas? I've considered Picturehouse membership, Dulwich Picture House membership etc - could be regular or could be a one off event/thing to do or to try!

Hi All, I'd like some art of the local ish area - Crystal Palace down to Dulwich/Peckham Rye area. I have a few from things like Places in Print but am sure there must be more out there that I haven't spotted - any recommendations? Thanks!

Help needed to restore period fireplace
*Anna* replied to lynda_maria's topic in Request a Tradesperson
We used these guys for a job recently, very happy and based in Crystal Palace so you can easily pop in and see them. http://www.fireplacerestoration.co.uk/index.html -
I'd go Sydenham without a shout! Its turning around very quickly indeed following the over-grounds arrival which means fast trains to almost anywhere in town. Bobs Wines, Gurkha, The Dolphin pub, the best Italian in London (according to TripAdvisor), CP park, Mayow Park, good transport both in and out of the city (out to East Croydon etc) wider roads, good schools (state and private) are just to name a few of the attractions in my opinion! Shame you just missed this: http://sydenhamarts.co.uk/

Wanted - Gardener who can lay astro / help with ideas!
*Anna* replied to ISLA_C's topic in Request a Tradesperson
Me again - just keeping you posted on this! We have just done our garden with the Easigrass and now have some spare if you are interested - and a gardener who can lay it all for you! I have 2.5m x 4m2 of the Chelsea variety for a cost. Do let me know if interested - we are very impressed with the grass and our gardener. Anna -
Sooo many gardener recommendations on here at the moment but I don't seem to be able to find one who has experience of laying 'easigrass' - anyone out there? If not Easigrass specifically, any other fake grass? Thanks xx

Watching this with interest - I am looking for someone to lay a small amount of 'easigrass' for me. Anyone with experience? -
Washing the rubber in a washing machine
*Anna* replied to *Anna*'s topic in The Family Room Discussion
Thanks Sanity girl - I've tried this but due to the rubber being the seal it on the gap that doesn't get wet during the cycle if that makes sense? I was hoping someone would have an old wives tale I guess involving frogs legs and snails and rose petals or something! -
Dare I ask this... but the inside of my washing machine is dirty! not the drum but the rubber which the door fits in to. It doesn't appear to be removeable and so I wondered if any of you had any bright ideas as to how best to clean it? Just wiping with a sponge doesn't work.

Oo good to know! I had assumed that as the fireworks are now only around Westminster the other bridges wouldn't really be affected but i'll definitley check it out now.

Thanks Giacomelli - i'll give Addison Lee a call and see what they can do about pre booking on NYE.

We are getting married on New Years Eve and are trying to work out transport options and wondered if any of you had clever ideas! We need a car to get 4 people from Dulwich to a Central London venue approx 4pm departure. We then need to get 3 grandparents back to Sydenham at approx 11pm. Then parents back to Dulwich at 1am. They are worried that taxis will be a nightmare to hail and very expensive if not booked in advance. Anyone out there got any clever ideas at all? Not after anything fancy! Or have any good ideas as to where else I could ask? Many thanks.

We are getting married on New Years Eve and wondered if anyone out there fancied earning themselves a little spending money that day? We need a nice / 'different' car (for 4 people) and driver to take us to a Central London venue approx 4pm departure from Dulwich. We then also need someone to do the return journey at 1am. Anyone out there? Or have any good ideas as to where else I could ask? Many thanks.
