  1. I had an Aprilia RSV4. They more than likel tracked me home, or noticed it from a scotter drive by. It was stolen to ordr,no doubt. You can't have a nice bike in London unless it's locked inside a garage. That's the end of the story, really. My wife had her bike stolen, but got it back as it had a tracker. They found it, and another 20+ bikes stored with it. Get a tracker if you've got a nice bike. Always ground anchor, always covered, always alarmed. I also came out of my flat one morning at 3am, as something woke me up (i lived opposite the Actress) an 2 guys were wheeling another bike into a van. I shouted at them, and they dropped the bike and took off. I got descriptions, reg of the van, reg of the scooter. The police traced the van, but said there wasn't enough evidence to do anything. Pathetic.
  2. You can have a filter fitted to your mains to remove the hardness of the water. It's not a cheap to do, at around ?1800 fitted, for a full mains system, and not ideal if you are renting - although you could take it with you, of course. There are other options, such as having a filter fitted to your drinking taps. I'ts harmless, but can be a pain, cloud your glass items, and the like.
  3. Take it to the Oval Motorcycle Center. They are the best for fixing bikes and scooters as they supervise you doing it yourself. They give you a bike lift and all tools. I've not used a mechanic in years, thanks to them.
  4. It's an aside, but if you've wondered about the metal studs in the pavement you see places like grove vale, they denote the extent of the trader's pavement usage rights (or at least used to) and you often see the same done using differently shades or colour of bricks.
  5. I'm a cafe owner. Our weekday business is bolstered by the laptop folks, and we simply don't see them at weekends, when we are busier. Also, many drink tea and coffee all day and often have two meals during thier stay. Myself, I like EDT when I laptop squat.

  8. And how does one EDF-er spot another F-er? Goofy teeth and glasses? Hunched shoulders? Quiet sobbing into a drink?

  11. Me, perhaps. What time are people turning up, as I may only be able to pop in for a bit early on?
  12. Get youself on a trip to... Oh, wrong thread...
  13. The rot shop does appear to be a male preserve. Perhaps not so with the courgette, mind.

  16. Anyway, none of this is the point of the thread - I'm attempting to identify the bikers, as meet ups and ride-outs can be fun, and the winters here, though cold, are generally dry and good for runs.
  17. No, the roof ones are ghey, just wrong, very wrong. At least I sort of get the three wheeled jobs, esp with all the mulch on the roads right now. That will pass, though, and you're then just left with your slightly pointless, fairy tri-knobbervagen.
