  1. We went to Le Petit Chou yesterday to get stuff to eat on the bus, and literally couldn't get out the door because someone thought this would be a good place to park a buggy. I do despair of some people's common sense.
  2. This isn't a cold. Different progression of symptoms. And not much work would get done if everybody stayed at home with minor ailments :)
  3. I looked into it a year or so ago. The people I spoke to were very helpful but in the end I decided it just wasn't worth the cost just to get more space in my understairs cupboard, especially as the electricity meter was there as well, and the fuse board or whatever the modern version is called.

All you seem to do is troll on here. Grow up.
  5. Yeh I've had it/got it :( Like a sort of flu but not so bad you have to stay in bed? Aches? Bit of a cough? Slight sore throat? Runny nose? Not much energy? I also had a headache for a while :(

  7. Maybe give the council a ring and see what they say? You might be pleasantly surprised.

I agree. C&A were cheap but their clothes didn't become like rags after a couple of washes (or one wash if you're unlucky). I used to buy a lot of stuff there when I was a student. I can't say I would miss BHS if it disappeared. It's got no USP any more.

And is the present series amateur chefs? Or - quite likely - I have them the wrong way round. Haven't watched lately, got a bit bored with it, same old same old.
  12. It just got better :))

It has a big branch on Oxford Street, near Oxford Circus. Once upon a time it was good for things like lighting, but not any more. And most of its clothes are horrendous. I'm amazed it's still going really. But then I'm amazed WH Smith and Boots are still going ..... and M&S.
  14. A good example of how rumour gets about! "Solid sources" are not necessarily reliable, it seems.
  15. Can your plumber or Thames Water not help with this?
  16. I find it weird that Peckham Rye Park is still open well after dark. I thought it must be a mistake and they had forgotten to shut the gates, until I checked the times.

What's a semi-formal dining concept? It all seemed very informal to me, including stools at the window, and mostly snacky things :)

    Cassis query!

    Thanks :)

Sigh. Insurance is a joke, isn't it. You pay out for years, then if you eventually have to claim, they up your future premiums to recoup what THEY had to pay out.

  22. Glad kitten is safe and well. Do RSPCA not help in cases like this if Fire Service don't any more?

Always a mistake :)) Someone always spots it :))
  24. Franco Manca give tips to staff if they are added to the bill.

Had a couple of poor reviews on here and instead of responding banned all future mention of it on here, positive or negative. As I thought had Le Chandelier ?
