got full wheelie bin - where to leave rubbish?

And the smallest size blue bin appears to hold the same as two blue boxes. Personally I would rather have boxes instead of the small green bin I have, which is hardly used as virtually everything I bin is recycled stuff :( -

Spoke to somebody last night who was approached (not for the first time) by a woman saying she wanted money "to buy milk for her baby." She then said "I'm not a stripper", pulled down her top and displayed her breast, which she then squeezed so that milk spurted out. When he said "Well, you can't need to buy milk then, can you?" she went off. How bizarre is that? Anybody else come across her? :)) -

I put surplus in bags with a note attached saying "recycling" and it's always been taken. I just replaced my two blue boxes with a small blue wheelie bin thinking it would hold more - but it doesn't. I emptied the contents of the two full boxes into the bin, and now the bin is already full :( -
Former ED police station fetches in excess of 5 million!

Oh, I think that is very good news indeed. -
Last time I went to the Wood House I nearly lost the will to live. Shame, given it's so near the woods and would be a nice place to go after a walk. Quite like the new Clock House decor, and it seems to me a vast improvement on how it was before, especially at the back, but I would not eat there again unless I was desperate. And I don't think I could ever be that desperate .....

Around 4.30pm today there were lots of police cars and an ambulance blocking Lordship Lane, and police redirecting traffic up North Cross Road (and presumably up another road the other side). Does anybody know what happened? There seemed to be at least two buses in the part of the road which was blocked off. Hope nobody was badly hurt :( Edited for typos

Man knocking on door at 1am asking for money
Sue replied to JLJ's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Let's face it, if your car had been towed away, you wouldn't wake up your "new neighbour" who you haven't yet met at 1am to borrow money, would you? Well, hopefully not :) -
Many birds don't like feeding in open spaces - they feel more secure where there is cover for them. Is there somewhere you could hang the feeders near leafy parts of the garden, but where cats can't easily get? You could try some fat balls and/or peanuts (in a proper holder). Also, some birds are ground feeders. You could try putting out bits of apple or something as well? ETA: Also, birds do take a while to get to know that you have put out food. If the food in your holders has gone manky due to the rain and the time it's been out, you would need to replace it as the birds won't eat it.

TJ Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Anyone know whether the cinema is going ahead, or > is it another urban myth aka Waitrose? xxxxxxx Well whether it goes ahead or not, it is hardly an urban myth, since our local councillor James Barber says that two cinema chains had been in discussion with the hall owners ..... Unless you think that James is in the business of peddling myths? Hardly a good re-election ploy, I would suggest .... -
