Wanted to recommend Marta of 4 Paws For Walks who has been walking our v lively cocker spaniel for nearly a year. She loves the dogs and the feeling is mutual! She has never let us down - even finding a way to get to us when her van was broken into. Also gave the pup her first ever haircut and did a great job getting rid of some really matted bits. I?ll happily give her a reference if you?re looking for someone to take care of your dog. Or contact her on 07402330006 or [email protected]

can anyone recommed a local vet in the area (for cats)

We used to go to the Lordship Lane vet (now Medivet)up by the old Harvester when we had a cat and would rate them. They were v pragmatic at recommending which treatments/scans would actually be worth doing when cat got old/ill. -
Looking for a piano teacher recommendation

I?d happily recommend Grace, who has been teaching my 5yo for a few months. My daughter really likes her, is making great progress and - most importantly! - is enjoying the lessons and happy to practise (so far!). Grace +44 7875 991827 -
Thank you! Didn?t know about the football one, which looks a possibility. Had emailed DKH to ask about their activities and waiting for a reply. Much appreciated x

Hello Does anyone know of any holiday clubs running Fri 31 Aug? Most seem to have finished by this point, it looks like. Many thanks!

I had a GSP as a kid. Very affectionate and gentle with kids, but hugely energetic and not too interested in being trained. We never got her to walk to heel (or not pull on a lead) and she was never great with other dogs. Don?t know if this is a common theme, or just a special case! Loads of character though, I absolutely adored her.

Does anyone know if there?s a local pub showing the cricket from 9ish tomorrow?

I'm sure this has been rinsed on mumsnet, but...

I'd been worried about my daughter getting offended st not being invited to a party, as well, of course, of upsetting someone whom she chose not to invite to her birthday. I was relieved to learn that it seems pretty much by the by - and my 8 yr old is definitely a sensitive sort! Her class /school seem to hand out invitations before or at school. -
Thanks to all who helped to find my son in Dulwich Park

Not a problem - glad to have been of some assistance, and know all too well the feeling of panic and fear. Your kids both seemed really lovely and Princess Holly enjoyed herself too I think! -
Thank you to the very kind people who helped my husband after he came off his bike in the park and brought him back home. He has a couple of fractures but it could have been so much worse if he hadn't been wearing his helmet. We both really appreciate you helping out - it was especially kind when you must have been heading to work, and the lady who also had a baby to manage. X

Does anyone know where I can get a replacement watch strap locally? Does the Timpsons at Sainsbury's do watches? Thanks

We have one. I really like it - you can prevent them accessing the internet and watching cr@p on YouTube. But they have worked out how to access all the Apps rather than the 'educational ' ones I set up! Also pretty near indestructible.
