  1. Well yes. I assumed this part was obvious but for the forum I should have been more explicit to avoid being scolded. Needless to say (to some) I didn?t think they were there chewing their fingernails, I simply wanted to caution drivers that the hole is not yet fixed and to be careful.
  2. Thanks, someone reported it on there this morning. Thames Water had a look at it last night but left without taking any action. It?s much bigger today, about 1m x 0.5m and growing pretty quickly. Be super careful if going that way.
  3. This is for anyone travelling by road down Forest Hill Road today. If you know anyone coming home this way please warn them. Near the French Cafe, a pothole has developed in the middle of the road. It?s rather deep and water is springing out of it and wetting the road all around making it a real hazard. It?s now dark and if you are familiar with the roads you might be surprised and taken unaware by the hole so please be very careful especially if on a 2 wheeled vehicle. This has been reported by several of the houses along the way so hopefully will be actioned soon. We contacted both Thames Water and Southwark emergency team (at 2pm today).
  4. You car could break down when you are out driving to an exercise destination. That is why exercising near home is encouraged. It also means you might stop for petrol which doesn?t help minimise the spread.
  5. The u-mask is supposed to be good. The entire Formula 1 teams wear them and they are pretty hot on technology and innovation.
  6. There?s a big polish supermarket on Streatham high street.
  7. Hello, Yes we did get it done. Unfortunately I can?t recommend my builder as they were actually a friends builder from far away that they convinced to come to London for us. It was ?2k all in and took 3 days. We were quoted 8k and 4K locally which really is a hiked up price. The process with the council was easy. You just contact them, they pop round and sign it off before plaster goes on and that?s it. Good luck. It?s messy so lots of sheets up.
  8. I am also interested in this. Westcombes is local and was recommended to me but so far they haven?t responded to me.
  9. Our milk is delivered every night at 11pm. Not ideal but we put up with it.
  10. Hi, We want to buy And fit a gas fireplace but first want someone to come around and look at what?s in place already to see if this is easily doable. Can anyone recommend a gas fitter?
  11. Yes, near the park too. They seem to come in the afternoon specifically.
  12. We have a door hanging presently. The door and frame needs to go, batten, gyp Etc and then plastered well enough that you would never know the door was there. Emphasis on the plastering because that?s the main part I?m not too hot at myself. I am looking for recommendations. Thanks.
