  1. I flew BA to LA a few months ago with my then 18 month old daughter. I emailed BA before hand and got a very unhelpful response just telling me what is on their website and doesn't answer the question about whether they can provide cow's milk for children. As I was flying business class I took the chance that they would have some for me and they did, however I was made to feel like it was a difficulty for them and an unusual request. They also didn't provide any food for her (although she didn't have her own seat, so kind of understandable) I would advise it'a probably best to buy some milk once through security and then ask them to refrigerate it for you in the plane and take lots of snacks.
  2. They will have your name on a list, no need to take anything (we went today)
  3. You're welcome to join us today. Hopefully see you later x
  4. 1st December great for me too, I would need to bring my daughter. Emma x
  5. We are also considering using Landmark lofts. Any feed back on them would be much appreciated. Thanks
  6. Hi All, It was great to meet so many of you last week. I'm looking forward to seeing you again and meeting some new faces soon.x
  7. Hi. I can make the 17th. Happy to try ToastEd or go to Rocca but Rocca might be the safer bet for ensuring plenty of pregnancy friendly food.
  8. I'm trying to find a pregnancy pilates clas, Frankie29 where abouts in the City did you do yours? I tried yoga at JAGS the first time round, but found it a bit boring (maybe used the class I went to?). JAGS used to do a pregnancy aerobics class which was great, but that seems to have stopped. I definitely want to do something though. Strawbs, I agree an NCT refresher would be great for meeting some other mums as I made some lovely friends on my first course, but I don't think my hubby would be too excited to go along again! I made some great friends on the Spring babies thread a couple of years ago that I still see regularly, so hopefully won't feel the need to do NCT as well this time.
  9. Hi. I'm expecting my second at the end of march and would love to meet up. I have Fridays off work but would have a toddler with me, otherwise evenings and weekends would be great. Emma
  10. Hi, I am due late March and my daughter will have just turned 2. Would love to meet up with other 2nd time Mums. Emma
  11. A tree in our front garden has fallen over and is now blocking the pavement and threatening to take down our garden wall. I would guess it is about 15ft high, but is obviously fairly easy to reach as is currently leaning over. Ideally I need to find someone to do this tomorrow.
  12. Unfortunately we used Alek and were extremely disappointed with our garden.
  13. We used a company called Atkins Fencing. They were very reasonably priced and did a decent job.
  14. I've just collected a really lovely butterfly picture made by Pebbles. A great Christmas present for my goddaughter. Thanks!
  15. We go to Little Dippers at Guy's hospital at London Bridge and really enjoy it, plus it's easy to get to on the train. The new courses start next week.
  16. Our cleaner is brilliant. She does 3 and a half hours a week and in that time irons at least 5 shirts and cleans a 4 bedroom house. I have a 7 month old baby and she manages to work around us just fine. She works for an agency, I've had a few of their other cleaners when ours has been on holiday and they are ok, not always as good, but that might be because they are just doing at one off job for me. The lady that runs the agency is really helpful, so when I've had a problem with the cleaning I've just emailed her. Much easier than having to tell the cleaner! If you would like me to send you the details of the agency then PM me.
  17. I'm currently doing baby swimming at Guy's hospital using Little Dippers, as are a few other Spring Babies. Amelie and I are both enjoying it. The pool is lovely and warm and the changing facilities are great. The classes book up really quickly but if you check their website frequently they are always adding new ones. For our lessons amelie has to wear Huggies swim nappies (Boots and Sainsbury sell them) and then swim pants over the top (Little Dippers send you some if you are on their course). Emma xx
  18. Hi, hope you all had a nice time in the park today. As I didn't manage to get there I'm hoping to catch up with some of you at the Crooked Well in the morning, as long as Amelie wakes from her nap early enough. Emma x Ps. Elizabeth, sorry but your post did make me laugh!! I hope you enjoyed your time with Bertie anyway.
  19. Great to see so many today. Meeting in the park sounds like a nice idea. As long as Amelie is chilled out after our pilates class on Thursday morning we will try and join you x
  20. Drinks are a great idea. So annoyed I can't make 4th as hubby is away with work til late that evening, but think I can do the 11th. Xx
  21. Hi Ladies Congratulations Elizabeth! I hope your first day home alone is going well, I look forward to meeting Bertie. I am hoping to make it to The Gardens tomorrow, it feels like ages since we last met. However I'm taking Amelie for her first swimming lesson a 1pm, so it will depend on how organised I am in the morning! Xx
  22. Hi, sorry I didnt make it to the park. Just had to take Amelie to the doctor after some serious sickness and the runs! Doctor thinks she has a tummy bug and I dont want her to share it with your little ones. Really disappointed to have missed the meet up, hope you had a good time. Emma x
