  1. The best way I managed last year was to get a taxi (Addison Lee people carrier) to drop you off about a mile north of the blackwall tunnel - that was as far as they could get before road closures prevented further progress, and then put the front wheel on and ride from there.
  2. What is your average speed when out on the bike?
  3. check out Malmo Josie - riots a plenty
  4. If you have lost your visa debit, probably when getting in or out of your car on a side road to Lordship lane, then get in touch. I have it in my posession and would like to return it and in so doing bathe in the positive karma that this will endow me with. :-) It will help you avoid having to cancel it and wait for a re-issue.
  5. for the second time in 2 months we had another of our pots stolen from the front of our house - so frustrating - the cost is one thing, but the efforts to make the road look a little brighter seem to be wasted. We have to give up, I am not going to be mugged off any further by low life who consider us to be some kind of manufacturer of their producs for sale, replenishing their stocks over and over.
  6. we also had out plant pot stolen after a saturday night a couple of weeks back - so annoying. When you try to play a role in making the place look nicer and some mug comes along and has it off ! We have replaced it and are waiting for this one to go also. losing faith...
  7. Despite not being able to do anything about it, or perhaps because of not being able to do anyting about it I experience so much frustration on the road I live due to it resembling a parking lot for bloody estate agent mini's and beetle's. They rag these cars which of course they do not own at high speed and at any given moment there are probably no less than 4/5 of them parked, making it that much harder for residents to park. What you gonna do......?.......nothing
  8. Is there any kind of local community - chamber of commerce that acts as a collective in their dealings with the landlords of these premesis on the lane? Notwithstanding the possible issues associated with Threshers being or having been through administration, one assumes the landlords would be open minded to cheaper terms rather than no tennatns. Of course LS lane is not immune to the macro economic issues, but with such positive feelings in general terms to the gentrification of E Dulwich, this is a potential major banana skin that few of us would benefoit from should it accelerate.
  9. Does anyone have any information about plans for the former Thresher and chemist on corner of Matham Grove and LS lane? It is a shame to see what appear to be prime location units un-used. It seems to signify the challenging times that retailers are experiencing.
