  1. perhaps nearer ED rail station. commuters are not a problem on barry road. i can rarely get outside the house but always within a 3 minute walk. i used to live near Waterloo and it was residents only and it was a nightmare.
  2. well we ended up doing a bit of a pub crawl. i do like cherry tree and the bishop but no one mingles. i would really like to meet more local people so i can socialise more on my door step. when i looked at adventure some drunk guy was having an argument with the bouncers - so we avoided it. the bishop was busy but no mingling. EDT was the most lively, not bad at all. the vale was dead hey ho i will be going out in clapham in future
  3. my flatmate recommended the crown and greyhound
  4. i've had a look at the whats on part and didnt find anything interesting. Where will be busy tonight? best to go w dulwich or lordship?
  5. yep let us all know about the open mic night. if i'm available i'll be there
  6. does anyone know what night the clockhouse do different things? i know they have a wii night is on a wednesday and i think they have a quiz night but dont remember when? any ideas
  7. but if the police dont know about it then how can they be expected to do anything. the police dont live in the area so will not be aware of what is happening unless people report.
  8. crumble all the way
  9. ive just googled it and didnt see anything and spencers has never been mentioned on here. how did you feel about it? if you felt it was suspicious call the local police. not to worry you but potential burglers have been known to knock on the door to see if anyone was home. it probably wasnt that but if you're worried about it....
  10. oh dear, no problem on Barry Road. Hopefully it wont take as long as 6 hours
  11. i'm sure his description and where you were approached would be very useful to the police if you were so inclined. i here you can give that sort of info to them on the internet now.
  12. its a good point. i always wanted the fictional service that was thought up in sex and the city when you can call the number and they will deliver anything, food, asprin, milk anything. and why not. its a great idea. when you're hungover, drunk, ill, injured, busy with the kids to go out. if this was set up in london it would do a roaring trade.
  13. i am surprised that quite a few of you are happy with anyone being in a public place with a knife. i'm certainly not middle class or too old to forget what i was like as a child but i can confirm i never felt it appropriate to carry a knife. why would anyone do that? it wasnt that long ago there were youths on LL fighting and someone got stabbed. the law is there to protect us
  14. i dont know if i'm being particularly sensitive but is it just me our are the a number of low flying aircraft of dulwich of late.
  15. it is difficult sometimes, especially in this area to know if it is foxes or not. i quick call to the police is never a bad idea. if they drive by and see nothing, then no harm has been done
  16. i have asked them to send the card to a branch. so its going to lordship lane. unfortunately rather than call me and ask where i wanted the card sent when i was cut off they put a note on the system. so i would need to call again and hope that the message would be read. yeah great service, if you psychic
  17. i've been with them for 6 years. they have left me without a debit card for 2 weeks. absolutely ridiculous. i've been calling all week, which i dont have time for and get nowhere. customer service, appalling. i just cant stand what little spare time i have being on the phone. i was cut off 4 times when put on hold. they have my number and 4 operators didn't call me back. they say they leave messages on your account which you can only get if you call and someone who you spoke to, looks for them. they have my email and phone number, would it not be sensible to leave a message there. as the customer how do you know they have left a message on their system. i've worked on customer service for 11 years, thats not customer service. sorry bit of a rant. never ask an angry woman, why, ever, lol :))
  18. sorry beth, me and my blonde moments you will get used to. looking forward to seeing you monday
  19. sorry to hear that, i'm just down from the shops. i always thought the two doors made things that bit safer.
  20. i'm having a nightmare with first direct. does anyone have any recommendations for any others? they are driving me mad
  21. sounds like fun to me. hopefully i wont vomit at the finish line. :)-D
  22. no skanky seems alright it was just we wouldnt be able to capture him and keep our 3 cats in as well.
  23. sounds like a cat my flat mate has christened 'Skanky Cat'. he comes through out cat flap and eats our cats food. my flat mate called celia hammond and they told us to capture him. unfortunately thats not possible as we have to let our cats out. if you can catch him they will come by and get him a new home
  24. I've had a iphone now for 9 months and i couldnt live without it. I would say go in to apple and have a play and see if you like it.
  25. cathg, i work for the police. we only get upset if people call us because they've lost their tv remote control. even if they had hit a car, it could have distracted the driver enough to cause an accident. as long as you dont call 999, the police wont get upset. we can never have too much information. wounds are healing now and i'm back at work. as well that ends well, ;-)
