  1. Looks as though the curry houses have the most improvements to make. Will be thinking again about where I get my takeaway, what a shame.
  2. I've found the tyre place on the corner near ED station to be extremely helpful and reasonable. Doesn't sound like you're too far away from there.
  3. I know this is an old thread but have found it difficult to find anything up-to-date on Southwark's planning website regarding double dormers/L shaped. Is there anyone with an expert view who can provide the latest thoughts on whether there's any issues with them falling under permited development to update this thread? Much appreciated.
  4. I've seen a few mentions about the Vale Residents Association and would like to find out more details including how I can get involved. Please can someone point me in the right direction. Thanks.
  5. Just to add that Dennis came back to mine last week to deliver a chimney balloon which he didn't have on him when he first came, very thoughtful of him. Can't recommend this scheme enough, a whole load of free stuff that helps you save money.
  6. Based on this recommendation I've just had a visit from Dennis. Called him today and he came within a couple of hours. Left me with water-saving tap aerators, radiator panels, a TV powerdown device and some energy saving bulbs. BTW the number mentioned in this month's SE22 mag is for the Bexley apparently, so I contacted Dennis directly on the mobile number above.
  7. Just wondering where this got to with the councillor? I can't see any update on the thread but I've noticed it is still an issue. It's depressing to see all that rubbish strewn across the pavement on the way to the station. It seems crazy that the council pay for a street cleaner to clean Melbourne Grove pretty much every day, but don't address persistent offenders. And yes, I have already reported it :)
  8. They were on my road at 9.40pm. I'm fed up of them knocking so late, then being rude when you politely turn down their offer to buy ridiculously overpriced poor quality tea towels. I've complained to the Dulwich Community officers previously when after 10pm, but not sure if they can really do anything.
  9. The same thing happened to me when I was in on my own, it was past 10pm and was met with abuse when I politely said I wasn't interested. Was concerned that their next stop would be at an elderly neighbour so I phoned the Dulwich Community Wardens who said they'd keep a look out. They also recommended getting the details of the card the next time they show up in order to report them to trading standards. Recommend people contact Dulwich Community Wardens
