  1. I can't divorce local from national politics - too much personal pain from finding out what Boris and others in government were doing whilst at the same time I was questioning whether I could visit / hug my terminally ill father. A strong message needs to be sent to the Conservatives.
  2. That?s hardly fair, James set up this thread to engage with Goose Green residents and it seems to have been successful given the 40 pages! He?s the most responsive of the local councillors. Imagine he does more case work than most. sspringer Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Councillors getting involved in the forum again! > Must be an election coming coming soon.
  3. Another community e-cargo bike is now available for hire on Northcross Road - hosted by Rye Books.
  4. It is in the remit of the Foundation Coach service, who are paying the coach companies. What did they say when you complained? heartblock Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > "I see a few mentions of the idling coaches from > the independent schools - this is run by the > Foundation Coach Service, maybe people should > email their Transport Manager to complain?" 5. East Dulwich has a community e-cargo bike for hire! It's outside Karavan Eco, Lordship Lane. Looking forward to giving it a try. The first two hours are free thanks to Southwark Council, then ?5 per hour. https://ourbike.co.uk/
  6. Wanted to recommend a new business on Melbourne Grove offering after-school / weekend art classes for 6-16 year olds. My son is loving them, and it's amazing to see what they produce in the time. The manager, Laura is great. (Edited to add link) https://www.art-k.co.uk/class-dulwich/

  8. It wasn?t a vote. 9. Parking and leaving the engine running doesn't apply to people dropping off babies and toddlers at nursery though. In my experience it takes longer than a few minutes.
  10. Asking the coach drivers to turn off their engine is another option, most companies have a no-idling policy and take it seriously if a driver has been found to breach this.
  11. There were roadworks earlier on near JAGS, looks like a leak and the strong smell of raw sewage
  12. Someone from Cyclehoop was upgrading the locks recently - apparently they recommend using 2 locks to secure bikes within the hangar, as you would if the bike was on the street.
  13. Suggest people email local councillors, it would be great to have this stop open again.
  14. Wonder what's going to go into this big unit on Grove Vale
  15. I?d hope the poster isn?t still up to be honest, yellow underlining or not.
  16. Shame to see Pickwick Estates doubled down and underlined the tone deaf slogan
  17. Yes I think that?s the point. I know of an A&E consultant who cycles through Dulwich to get to work but lives further afield. It?s quite reasonable to expect they will have an interest in making the route they commute each day safer.
  18. Thanks for posting, hope everyone can get behind it given the frequent comments on this forum regarding poor public transport / slow bus running times.
  19. Probably helpful to work out who the councillors for your own ward are, rather than emailing the whole list below each time... http://moderngov.southwark.gov.uk/mgFindMember.aspx? Rachel Gates isn't a councillor btw. 20. This thread is becoming a repeat of the Our Healthy Streets one
  21. Since 2010 traffic on smaller roads is up 70%, whilst traffic on A and B roads has decreased. A worrying trend.
  22. Anyone? It?s a big unit. I heard a rumour it might be a restaurant.
  23. We love The Gardens surgery.
  24. This is a brilliant scheme, thoroughly recommend getting involve if you?re concerned with speeding locally.

There can be more than one cause for a tailback there. Hopefully something the council can quickly address.
