Just do it!

Hannah & Tamera won't win because they don't have enough public support. I'm still going for Rough Copy to win, Sam Bailey 2nd. When I said 'fix' I was referring to the bottom two, not the fact that Sam went. Heaven forbid that Louie goes into the final 4 weeks with all of his acts remaining. So conveniently 2 of his boys were in the sing-off. Tamera was in the bottom two a few weeks ago. On Saturday her performance was so weak, plus she forgot her lyrics. Definitely bottom two contender again. Miraculously she escaped. Simon C has said on numerous occasions that she has the most potential & is the only one of the finalists with a future. As soon as she is voted off, he will sign her up anyway but obviously wants to keep her in as long as possible. Enough said really.

Missed the first 10 mins. Can someone fill me in please?

SO frustrating when you can see 'Fix' rearing it's ugly head on certain episodes.

You will have that dreaded SE15 postcode that everybody in ED seems to hate. (I'm quite proud of it myself) And there is nothing funny about my eyes MrBen!

Tiny Little Things That Cause You Irrational Rage

People who open the windows on buses when it's freezing cold. -
Down in SE15 too. No phone or internet. When I phoned they said they will compensate for one days loss of service, but should be back some time in the morning. Let's hope they are right. Last time it was out for 4 days Thank God for emergency dongles!

Strange behaviour by milk snake - any expert here?
aquarius moon replied to Alan Medic's topic in The Lounge
I don't know if you have looked here: http://www.reptileforums.co.uk/forums/ But maybe a good idea to register with them & post, asking for info from other snake keepers. -
Bit of a shock tonight. I loved Abi, but she wasn't as good unless doing her own thing. My faves are still in: 1) Rough Copy 2) Sam Bailey

I'd like to be a shepherd please, so that I can make sure all the animals are properly looked after.

Regardless of the money involved, all I'm saying is that it's a nice feelgood ad.

The new John Lewis christmas ad is being shown in full tomorrow during the first break in 'X Factor'. It's so cute. I thought the snowman was good, but this one's even better. Brought tears to my eyes!

bus shelter count downs..........

The info that TfL provide at bus stops is > excellent by comparison, even when there isn't a > countdown. I clearly have. I lived in the countryside for 30 years. I can assure you it does feel like a lifetime. Especially when it's freezing cold, I'm tired from working all day & just want to get home. Smart phone apps are great but they rely on internet connection. The O2 mast at Goose Green was down for ages recently, so not much good if you were near there & wanted to check on bus times. That's why countdown boards are so helpful. -
So I guess the heating systems in the winter are all associated with age also: 185/484/3/122 warm & cosy P12/P13/343 comfortable 37 you hope to reach the end of your journey before frostbite sets in! Don't know about the 176 as I rarely use it.

Bombs on East Dulwich 27.12.1940
aquarius moon replied to miket53's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
That picture is so cool. Love seeing how it used to be. Does anyone have any old pics of Stuart Rd, Nunhead? Apparently there used to be a row of shops next to 'The Ivy House' (where the flats are) but they were all destroyed by a bomb during WW2. -
James, As a fellow veggie, I do agree with what you are saying. However........ When I first joined this forum, I tried to influence people with my vegetarian ways of thinking. I did the cruelty to animals, health issues associated with meat-eating etc, etc. It soon became clear that the majority of people are not interested in changing their eating habits, no matter how many times you try to persuade them otherwise. In the end, I simply gave up trying & rarely mention it anymore. Yes, I will still stick up for the animals & get involved in certain threads on the subject here & there, but most of the time I keep quiet. As an animal lover, I have made choices on how to live my life and am happy with them. I no longer feel the need to tell others how they should be living theirs. To each his own. Everybody is tired of the topic being brought up on here, because it's been covered so many times before (a lot of the time by myself!) It seems to be quite a touchy subject, so creates lots of arguments & bad feeling which is not a good thing. I would sooner live in peace & harmony with my fellow posters!
