  1. What does everyone think of the new format? Not very nice for the contestants, but more exciting for the viewers. I think it's a change for the better.
  2. I think next week, I'll predict the exact opposite to what I really think. Then I should be fine.
  3. Willy score, or won't he?!! :)
  4. 1) This characters rock solid career went downhill fast! He started off as a famous, successful rock singer & threw it all away 2) He was on a mission to self-destruct, and ended up killing himself At the end of the film, he crashed his car ( I cried!!) 3) My character is from the most recent version of this film There were two other versions before the 1976 one 4) He has a good voice He was the lead singer in a rock band 5) The person who played him had another career, apart from acting. So did the leading lady Kris Kristofferson was a singer before he became an actor, so was Barbra Streisand 6) He was in for a bumpy ride, but may have set a track record His band was called 'The John Norman Howard Speedway' The 'track' record also referred to music! 7) Watch Closely Now and you will reveal the character! 'Watch Closely Now' was the bands theme song & one of the films most famous tracks. I think I could've kept that one running for another week! Well done EP. You got there in the end!
  5. I just wanted to see if I could post 7 clues, without losing my turn & it looks like I achieved it! It's actually really hard to post relevant clues, without giving too much away at once. So, the final, giveaway clue: Watch Closely Now and you will reveal the character!
  6. I'll post the final clue in a few hours.
  7. 6th (penultimate) clue: He was in for a bumpy ride, but may have set a track record.
  8. Team supported: Millwall Where from: Originally Southampton territory Why I support them: Being a footie fan since my teens (was a Notts F fan during Cloughies reign), never had the chance to go to a match until I moved here. It just so happened to be Millwall. One bite & I was hooked! I know we are not Premiership, but our day will come. Doesn't look like it will be yet..... But hopefully in my lifetime!
  9. I don't know how I managed to hang on to 2nd place this week (sorry Otta, I mean 3rd!) I can feel you all snapping at my heels like a pack of wolves!!
  10. No EP. Pinkie from Brighton Rock was one of my characters about 20 pages back. I wouldn't do the same one twice!
  11. No!
  12. I'm getting a bit fed up with waiting 24 hours too TBH, so quite happy to post another clue: 5th clue: The person who played him had another career, apart from acting. So did the leading lady.
  13. Otta Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Once someone gets this right, can they not do > this one clue a day thing? It's kind of killing > this thread to be honest. I just wanted to see if I could make it last a week, as a kind of experiment! But, If you are desperate for more clues, I'll forget about it & post another shortly. And no, not Ian Curtis
  14. 4th clue: He has a good voice
  15. Would love to see a Morrisons here. Will save me a trip on the P13, when I can't get what I want in Sainsbury's. Here's hoping.
  16. What a rubbish week! I didn't manage to predict even one correct score. Liverpool, Man Utd & Stoke, total let-down. At least Millwall beat Charlton!
  17. 3rd clue: My character is from the most recent version of this film
  18. Two no's I'm afraid
  19. 2nd clue: He was on a mission to self-destruct, and ended up killing himself
  20. I'm setting myself a new challenge to make the game more interesting. Will be posting one clue a day, and will try to make my turn last as long as possible. Todays first clue, already posted. Next one tomorrow. The clues will get easier as the days go by. Aiming (would like) to last a week!
  21. I feel sorry for the owner, who is not only grieving for her husband, but has the added worry of people complaining about her dog. Just hope that everyone will be a bit more tolerant, now they know the circumstances. And lilolil, please ask the owner to get in touch with first mate, who always has loads of good advice to share.

  23. Otta Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I didn't even realise there was a Mr Blonde. Was > he the ear cutter? Yes, he was. Played by Michael Madsen. Great actor. Great movie.
  24. First clue: This characters rock solid career went downhill fast!
  25. Mr Blonde/Reservoir Dogs
