  2. Clark Kent?
  3. I've had so many goes already, I don't think I should have a free one! Somebody else should take a turn. (somebody who remembers to post clues on a regular basis, regardless of how many guesses there are!) :)
  4. Is anybody still playing this game? No clues posted/guesses in nearly a week!
  5. The 68 isn't affected by the road closure, so it's taking the normal route down Herne Hill towards the station. It is only Half Moon Lane that is closed, so the 37 is the only bus being diverted from it's usual route.
  6. Dulwich is too far for me as I live over the other side of Peckham Rye park. I think possibly other dogs may see mine as a threat because there are 3 of them (pack instinct etc?) I pavement walk my dogs one at a time now, which is less fun for them & very time consuming for me. But at least there is less chance of them being attacked.

Then 363 (stops outside the pub!)
  8. I envy anybody who has small dogs & feels safe walking them in the park. Whether it is Peckham Rye (my local), Dulwich etc., is irrelevant. I haven't walked my 3 yorkie crosses in the park for 3 years. Why? Because they had been set upon on numerous occasions, by larger dogs. These were mainly staffs/bull breeds, but not always. Said dogs were always off-lead & ran up to mine, who have always been on leads. My little dogs are over-friendly to all & wouldn't hurt a fly, so if a larger dog takes a dislike to one of them & attacks it, what chance do they stand? My views: There should be areas in parks where dogs should only be walked on leads. That way, I could safely take mine back there, knowing loose dogs would not be approaching. Other areas for walking dogs off-lead, so that people like myself wouldn't go there. I filled in the survey as a dog owner, but unfortunately did say yes to dog related issues in Peckham Rye Park. I also added that I think all dogs should be kept on leads while on streets/pavement walking. I always clean up after my dogs & don't have any problems with dog mess either in my road or the park, as I think most people locally are responsible dog owners. If I owned large breed dogs, I might think differently, but my priority is keeping my dogs safe.
  9. Eddie Valiant/Who Framed Roger Rabbit?
  10. 37's are turning right at Goose Green roundabout & heading straight to Brixton via Dog Kennel Hill.
  11. Well done edw. Vasily Zaytsev. 1) A real person portrayed in a novel and on the big screen. Novel = War Of The Rats by David L. Robbins Movie = Enemy At The Gates 2) This is definitely not a case of 'out of sight, out of mind!' During the famous sniper battle in the book & movie, the German was never in his sight but always on his mind. 3) He wanted to paint the town red. He was part of The Red Army at Stalingrad 4) Could his tipple have been a 'shot' of vodka? It probably was! Considering he was a Russian sniper. Over to you.
  12. No, but you are both getting warmer
  13. As requested, I'm lumping all the clues together. 1) A real person portrayed in a novel and on the big screen 2) This is definitely not a case of 'out of sight, out of mind!' 3) He wanted to paint the town red. New clue: Could his tipple have been a 'shot' of vodka?
  14. Another good guess, but not right either.
  15. That's a pretty good guess HB, but it's not the right person.
  16. Unusual yes. But true. I've read it!
  17. Looks like another clue is needed: He wanted to paint the town red
  18. No, sorry

  20. I like to think that Lori is not really dead.

I love you too HB, But for future reference, I'm happy to answer to Aq or Aqm. Really don't want to step on the original AM's toes! :)
  22. Ok then. This is definitely not a case of 'out of sight, out of mind!'
  23. It will get easier Foxy. I don't want to give too much away just yet!
  24. Peckhamgatecrasher, You are obviously referring to a previous comment of mine. Yes, I did go on-line to find out what other series Benedict Cumberbatch (Sherlock) had appeared in, which led me to the correct answer. I think you will find that most people use the internet to find out certain info, but you still have to know what to google after working out the sometimes cryptic clues first, so it's hardly cheating! Anyway, back to my first clue: A real person portrayed in a novel and on the big screen.
  25. Sympathy for the devil is by The Rolling Stones. Are you looking for a character?
