  1. Good luck Luca with your new venture. Hope everything goes well for you. Thank you for providing such a lovely cafe over the years, especially the lovely sourdough bread and icecream.
  2. Hi everyone Does anyone know where I can buy an A4 size photo frame locally? Many thanks :-) Annie

  4. Hi everyone, I am in private rented accommodation. I have a yearly assured tenancy agreement due for renewal in early January. My landlord has just proposed a rent increase of 10%. Can he do this with only 4 months notice? I thought they had to give 6 months notice. Does anyone know? Many thanks, Annie
  5. I used to see sparrows, blue tits, blackbirds and jays around my house on a daily basis. Havent seen any for weeks. Am concerned those awful green things are taking over and intimidating our local birds ......
  6. Thank you Annie - sorry, I was getting my messages mixed up and responded to you as Sue x

  10. Hi everyone Does anyone know where I can get my photo taken for passport application. I tried the photo booth at Sainsburys but the lighting was so bad, my skin looked grey. So would prefer someone to take my photo in normal light :) Many thanks

Would be great to see a wider variety of eateries like the ones they have in Peckham. Vietnamese or Lebanese for example.
  12. Hi all Does anyone know if there's anywhere on Lordship Lane that I can get some passport photos? Many thanks

What about hard working single people (who often end up subsidising families, by the way).

I totally agree with you. I have noticed that cyclists going through red lights is the norm rather than the exception. When walking on the pavement I frequently have cyclists moving up behind me expecting me to move out of their way. I don't anymore. I behave as though I am deaf (for all they know I might be).
  16. Luckily my hearing is ok so am aware when a cyclist is coming up behind me on the pavement. For people whose hearing is not so good this could really be an issue ......

I receive details of medical appointments by text and am in favour of that as it saves paper. I am more worried about financial stuff getting lost in the post. And personal items, eg letters from family and friends.
  18. I have just found out from my work colleagues that we were all sent a gift in June. I never received it. So another thing that has either been taken from my doorstep or even before that ......
  19. Needed to get a repeat prescription from the DMC. Was told to go on the patient access portal and order that way. I went onto my account on the patient portal, but I could not see the "New Request" button anywhere. Has anyone else had this issue and how did you resolve? Thanks, Annie
  20. Because of their size and noise, they do seem to frighten our native garden birds. Just seen two parakeets attacking a blackbird outside ....... they are definitely pests.
  21. Hi Alexander This sounds like a lovely way to spend an evening. I enjoy drawing and have been thinking of doing an art class. Also eating, drinking and meeting new people is always lovely. Can you send me details of when and where you meet? Many thanks Annie
  22. It is even worse for the wildlife that are outdoors and terrified and possible unable to find shelter easily. And all those chemicals and burning embers have to land somewhere .....
