Sainsburys ban on selling fireworks?
Annie5 replied to hammerman's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I am not a pet owner and think it is a much larger issue than the distress caused to pets. What about the damage to wildlife, and pollution of the air. Not to mention the amount of time A&E wards have to spend on dealing with accidents ....... -
What kind of shop/eaterie would you like to see on LL?
Annie5 replied to imasnookercue's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
It would be great to have a Lebanese restaurant nearby ....... -

Looking for some advice about braces for teeth :) My top front teeth have become more crooked over the years and I am thinking of getting some braces fitted. Does anyone have any experience of the new invisible braces or the old-fashioned metal type? Length of time they take to work, comfort, cost etc. Grateful for any advice / recommendations Many thanks Annie

No water Underhill Rd (Horniman end) - anyone else affected?

Same here (near Melford Road) -
I have never driven a car. But I find this kind of cycling behaviour very dangerous; people cycling without helmets, children perched on crossbars, children in flimsy carts behind the cyclist (which means the cyclist has no view of what is happening to the cart). If they are so worried about pollution and the environment why don't they walk to school? Much safer and less exposure to exhaust fumes. Also means the children will be fitter and stronger. My mother walked us to / from school for years.

I would be interested in joining a group like this. I am also female, middle aged and would like to shed a few pounds. Swapping ideas would be useful. And someone to go to the gym with .......

Exactly. Whereas what happened was the bottles were thrown into the street bins or on the floor after the event, so a lot of people were not recycling them .....

No, they were not doing it out of thought for others, it was a marketing exercise ..... there was a message on the bottle.

And given the current plastic awareness, and the knowledge that it is difficult to recycle, I find this a really insensitive marketing exercise .....
-
There was no "recyclable" logo on the bottle so I think not .....

This evening plastic bottles of water were being handed out at ED station, as a marketing exercise by a certain local company. Is it just me, or is anyone else shocked at the lack of thought for the environment, encouraging people to use these bottles, and adding to the huge mountain of plastic ......

You have totally missed my point. The OP was asking for guidance on how much they should charge for the kittens. So they were focusing on how much money they could get for them. Surely their focus should have been on ensuring the kittens go to someone who loves animals and will give them a good home.
