It would seem that the central bench/table area became a back-garden house party on Saturday afternoon/evening, I don't think the original bin allocation plan catered for 15 people having a loud music/drink fuelled party in the middle of a kids playground.......... But hey!
  3. SMG I will gladly put my hands up to being wrong.............that however is not my point, as was not my point at my first post. My point, if you will, was........... Why do certain people on this site just attack others for no sound reasons? Especially regarding a serious issue such as being mugged! It's getting very old![/ As you have said yourself, it MAY be an interesting and informative doc........nobody knows, on the basis that people have seen some ITV docs that they didn't feel truly reflected the subject, they're writing this one off with no valid info. So on that basis, I no longer wish to converse with you on the basis that you have fingers to type and most murderers have fingers too, meaning you could hunt me down and kill me like a dog................and I just don't want that. Cheers

They tried to do this to me putting me up from ?45 to ?75 for a 2 bed flat with economy 7 etc, a quick call explaining that they were the one's that decided that amount and looking at my bill it will more than equal out over the summer months got it sorted. I made the mistake of paying the increased amount once, it took me 3 months to get the ?250 back from them that i had overpaid..................wait for it..............over the summer!

  7. That actually proves the point on 2 different levels. Thanks

  9. KidneyPunch A bit of advice from a relative newbie of this Forum..................GIVE UP!!!!!! Picture in your mind, the ratio of decent people to not so decent people you see day to day around ED. Apply that ratio to people on this Forum............
  10. Sorry I know the post was on the 5th but did this already get shot and go out already? I'm not affiliated in any way with the poster but everyone seems to know what this show is going to be before it's even made......... Like I said, only been on the forum a little while, but I'm finding a lot of the regulars just shoot people down for no fathomable reason??!!
  11. So someone talking about their experience of being mugged, how it affected them, whether the mugger was caught, if they were punished, gives you no insight in to how someone reacts to being mugged???? Yet a fictitious storyline does.............. Say no more!
  12. Sorry I don't see how the narrative has been fixed in any way? The above simply states the theme that the show is to be based on? Would it be batter to say, 'Hi, there's gonna be a show, it's about something, would you like to share your experience of something on it?' Why do certain people on this site just attack others for no sound reasons? Especially regarding a serious issue such as being mugged! It's getting very old!
  13. Apparently the playground is opening this Saturday.... As far as I can tell all they have done over the last month is put a rotten tree trunk in there as well?!? But hey, its opening finally!
  14. It isn't "How can we let this happen" its more "Look what's happened after a multitude of 'GENIUS' ideas by various government departments! We reap what we sow I'm afraid. I would say this is due to Social Services and not being allowed to smack kids any more, or because too much leniency is shown on certain petty offences that lead to these kids feeling more 'brave' and that they will get away with more and more. However, I had an opinion along this vane on the Vandalism of the Goose Green Park and got buried under my draconian and short sighted views. So I shall simply say, leave the little oiks alone, they're just bored and under-challenged!
  15. Firstly, are you 100% sure she just wasn't fat?? I have made this mistake in the past with a train/seat offer scenario and twas VERY agonising!
  16. Thanks KidKruger I was beginning to feel like an outcast. I have been taught now though that it is merely my lack of tolerance and regressive attitude towards the poor bored little tikes......... We must learn to accept and embrace such things, the world will be a happier place for it! >:D<
  17. Hahahaha yep lets progress the vandalism, hey we can maybe even turn it into an Art Form, oh wait that's graffiti! I am amazed how I am an intolerant and regressive person because I don't agree that it is OK to do the above......and we wonder where it all went wrong! Anyway, enough now, I have to get my Camouflage Super Hero costume dry cleaned for more nightly patrols! perhaps in the meantime you could find some tolerance for other people's opinions missus?? Enjoy your day.
  18. Guess we're going to have to agree to disagree. Especially as my suggestion that someone who would vandalise a (communal is it? funny I thought it was off limits to all but the builders) playground, and someone's private property seems too ridiculous for words. You're right, things like that NEVER happen never ever ever ever ever... Do I need my passport to travel to your utopia or is it within Zone 2. Thanks
  19. While I don't suppose you praise vandalism or theft, it would seem certain peoples lines or acceptance are obviously a LOT further to the horizon than mine. I'm sure you'd all be shouting from the rooftops should said playground be burnt to the ground!! Correct me if I'm wrong but surely that would fall under the category of vandalism? Or still sit comfortably in the 'Who's a naughty boy' one? Or perhaps if someone was to be seen 'chipping away' at you're front door, or your garden fence, or perhaps your car, you'd would simply tut and reminisce on how jovial your childhood was?!? It's tolerance of minor acts that make the slightly more offensive tolerable over time, and so on and so on....... In my opinion, tis a very poor attitude indeed!
  20. HonaloochieB: So what you're saying is you think its OK to vandalise because when you were a kid you did the same thing?! And to the rest that think this is funny with the perrier massive comments? What you're all basically saying is you kinda don't really care about the neighbourhood you live in? There's a line somewhere but where that lays is in direct relation to how it effects you rather than the community at large right? That's the problem with you f*cking liberal types, everyone should be more accepting until someone's doing something to your property or way of life! So to the poor family, opposite Goose Green who were burgled last week, "Come on now what are you moaning about, we all went somewhere we shouldn't have when we were kids, don't you remember? What do you want do hang, draw and quarter them!?!??!"
  21. Bit harsh! Not really, so you think kids trespassing and vandalising something OUR Council Tax is paying for is a decent thing to do? Or it's OK to ruin something that I have to look at from my home everyday? I don't, I think it's the act of a little **** who has not been taught the difference between right and wrong or the value of things, and is the start of someone who doesn't grow up in to a very nice person. My opinion, my words.
  22. I know what you're saying Karrie, when I moved to ED i was gutted to find out that you couldn't get Virgin Fibre, I left 50mb Fibre behind in Forest Hill to 2.5mb (at first) in ED. And lets face it, ED is lovely, Forest Hill is a hole! It doesn't make sense!
  23. Nope this weekend! Proper ball sports all Saturday too! None of this nancy boy football!
  24. This isn't really going to help but............ I live on East Dulwich Road, opposite Goose Green and have been with BT for over a year, I have never had any issues with the broadband, they recently upgraded us from up to 8mb (2.5mb actual) to up to 20mb (5.5mb actual) for free. All of these talk talk and the like all piggy back the BT infrastructure so if other services are having issues, it's going to be their kit, not the underlying routing. I know BT is not as cheap a deal as some, I pay ?40 a month for phone line rental, free any time calls to all numbers bar mobile and unlimited Broadband, but it is VERY much a case of you pay for what you get. Just my thoughts people.
