An NHS urgent appointment letter from Kings took 14 days to arrive! (the appointment was long gone but I'd received a text and phone call so did attend). It cost the NHS 72p for this dreadful service but I'm wondering how much more it's costing them in missed appointments...awful!

Catalytic converter thieves operating tonight
fatfightersforever replied to pooc's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Mine also stolen on 31st August in Hengrave Road SE23 (also heard of more stolen on nearby Boveney Rd). Neighbours witnessed thieves getting into a black VW Golf Mk7, sadly they couldn't get the registration number but they did kindly ring police....R Flollylf Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Iv been hearing drilling at odd times throughout > the night over the past week and also alarms going > out now that I know it?s not road works outside I > will be checking next time I hear anything and > calling the police -

Watch out parcel thief!
fatfightersforever replied to fatfightersforever's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Thanks Nigello, I reported it to a community police officer and today reported the incident online at the Met police website.. -
Several residents have had parcels stolen from their doorsteps...many have posted on the Nextdoor app with similar descriptions. Today I recognised the same person in Mundania Rd, checking out doorsteps in search of parcels. He's been caught opening them with a stanley knife and stealing contents. He was riding around Therapia, Forest Hill Rd and Scutari....he is white, around 50, very thin with dark straggly hair. Today he was wearing dark clothing with a blue rucksack and was riding a red Santander bike. There has also been a sighting of him on a yellow bike. Please be careful with parcel deliveries...

Have pm'd you.. -
Drove through here this morning and seemed to be chaos....a temporary light tells you when to go/ on Colyton but there's no light apparent on Forest Hill Rd so cars were stopping and then pulling out eventually into oncoming traffic! ...worried there could be an accident. I got out and told the road workers but got short shrift! Please drive carefully around there...

Forest Hill Road Surgery - again.
fatfightersforever replied to George Orwell's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Such sad news. Dr McColl really was wonderful, so caring and thoughtful as well as being thorough. A great loss to us all, sending love and best wishes to her family. -
So sorry to report this here but a cat was run over in front of us tonight around 9.45pm on Dunstans Rd, around number 91-100 I think. The driver placed the body under a tree and we knocked on a few doors but nobody knew who it belonged to. So sorry, please message me if more details needed. It was a tabby colour, no collar, quite fluffy, think ginger and some white markings....very sad.

Recommendation for garden labourer - Fernando Pinto
fatfightersforever replied to bkkmei's topic in Reviews
Today Fernando tackled our very neglected garden and he did a great job! Just a few hours has already made a big difference, he pruned, dug lots of weeds out of a flower bed and cleared a patio of weeds too. He is very organised, came early and is a pleasure to have around, thanks again Fernando! Highly recommended. -
Another vote for Dave Bassom on 07867 974124. Came when he said he would, did a good job and much cheaper than getting it through the big carpet companies who are cheap for carpet but Dave supplies much cheaper underlay. Highly recommended!

Looking for feedback on Kings College Hospital
fatfightersforever replied to Peckhampam's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Hi Pam we had a brilliant experience with A&E on xmas day, staff wonderful, caring and spot on with diagnosis of my daughter's serious condition and urgent admission. Afraid the ward experience was patchy, some brilliant staff others a bit lacking in compassion and worryingly didn't seem to know anything about her condition or treatment. Overall we were very happy and relieved to be near Kings as she received the right treatment and very quickly despite it being xmas. Happy to answer any further questions if you PM me. We remain big supporters of Kings! -

Same here Tiddles. Trees butchered in Therapia (again) no response from 'tree experts in relevant department', very disheartening.....yours in snippiness and negativety! tiddles Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I posted this very question to James Barber which > he passed on to the revlevant dept - who I > understand have yet to respond. Tree surgeons are pruning the same trees that were pruned within the last two years so yet again they will bear no blossom and look stunted. Our elderly neighbours are upset they may never see their trees blossom again! They had no overhanging or dangerous branches, seems a total waste of cash, anyone else with concerns?

Always found staff to be friendly and lovely, especially since I lost Blackberry there a couple of weeks and a staff member Adrian handed it in and kept it safe for me.
