  1. Can we all wear bio-hazard suits now? I have some with day-glo paint from my early rave days which are also happily bang on-trend right now.

    Tit Monday

I have just returned from the West End - and I can officially confirm the tit-bomb has exploded.
  3. Guys - Take your little spat off this post and both of you show some decency.
  4. Many thanks - It is indeed very under exposed considering the 200 million sufferers and I don't think most people realise its effects can be terminal.. Please dig deep.
  5. Dear Forumites - Please excuse this abuse of local goodwill. On 26th April this year (next weekend!) my sister in law is running the London Marathon in aid of the Hepatitis C Trust. She is not a runner and therefore will need all the help and support as she tries to raise a total of ?5000 for the charity which offers help to those who suffer from this illness. This is a critical time for the charity as new treatments are in development and funds are needed to get them through the approval process and available to sufferers as soon as possible. Would you be able to sponsor her? If you are able to or if you would like to know more about the Hepatitis C Trust, please visit her donations page at www.justgiving.com/natalienicholson1 Admin - pls hold off lounging this for as long as possible - and thank you all for your support! 6. Bellenden village? That has to be the biggest load of estate agent bog ever.
  7. I see Franklins in Oval / Kennington has closed down. I was a sort of cafe farm shop version of the new shop on LL.
  8. So if someone sells trout in a restaurant, is it the common brown trout (which is farmed) or a sea trout? And where does the rainbow trout live? And what was on hizars menu?
  9. Oh, and i understand Hisar is up for sale. Went last weekend. Didn't rate it as highly as i used to.
  10. I though Trout was a river fish anyway? jespermk Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > yes, went there myself with my girlfriend, had a > trout, although, not typically turkish, it was > like it had never been swimming in the sea, dryer > than the sahara and about as tasty as a mouthful > of its sand.... still, maybe next time, i should > have something more typically turkish...
  11. Aren't you the same guy who didn't like Turkish food on the Forest Hill thread? What's your game mate? Are you really a local curry house owner or something? Jeremy Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Tas is pretty average IMO. It's inexpensive and > serves its purpose, but not somewhere I'd go out > of my way for.
  12. I think you are somewhat lost in the detail and missing the larger picture. Is the forum as welcoming and civilised as it should be?
  13. Its not that particular rider. Its the guy who deregulates the scooters - so there are multiple people visiting. Therefore, the person to deal with is the one doing the work. I will have a word with his parents. 14. Can anyone who heard this do two things: Report to the East Dulwich safer neighborhood team (Duncan Jackson) on 020 8721 2447 AND the Peckham Rye team (Neil Cook) 020 8721 2443. Second - send a noise complaint report to Southwark on: https://securesite.southwark.gov.uk/ShowForm.asp?fm_fid=480 or call 020 7525 5777. A little pressure should resolve this.
  15. Its a guy at the end of Hillcourt/ Goodrich near Donkey alley who does the work on scooters to soup them up. Therefore, the local kids come to visit him late at night to get work done. Therefore, its not actually that easy to deal with, unless he is trading illegally... Trading standards may be the best approach along with the rozzers.
  16. I know the owner of the bike. Can you give a description of the car? Make, colour etc etc.
  17. I noticed on other threads comments that some of the older regular posters have drifted off. As one of the early adopters who also stopped using the forum for some time (after being ranted at by another user who was roundly condemned for their opinions at the time) I wondered what other people thought about the levels of unfair or aggressive criticism on the forum. Recently, an aggressive poster has been banned, but i wondered how many people just read the hostile posts and think 'I'm outta here...?'. I am glad to see local businesses are taking less off a bashing these days - but it seems to have got personal instead. Thoughts?
  18. The reason the EDF works is because there are: 1. A high percentage of home workers in SE22 2. Lots of mums and dads who don't get out much (enough!) 3. Its a friendly open bit of London with a reasonable sense of community. It also has loads of gatecrashers!
  19. I'm with you there. I look at it in much the same way as the kid who got hit by a bus last year. Terrible and tragic, but I am not increasingly scared of being flattened by the no12. I am more concerned about a 747 landing on us... but that is my own weird phobia. A shooting near where I live is certainly a terrible thing - as is any shooting anywhere, but I am no more or less at risk of being shot now than yesterday morning. Shootings tend - based on anecdotal evidence, to be in some way linked to the victim. Therefore, if I keep away from drugs, gangs, criminals and people involved with guns, the chances are I will have a safe, but boring life. Unfortunately this also means certain demographics are more at risk, but we all make our own beds.
  20. Is it like being the only gay in the village?! miffy Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Okay I am a huge supporter of East Dulwich, > because after all it is the centre of the > universe, but even I am struggling as a single > approaching 40 female, to meet and socialise with > other single friends. 21. Jeremy - I supose british food is just boiled beef and suet? Get out of your closed mind man! Turkish food can be a wonderfrul combination of fresh fragrant herbs and salads with tender infused meats grilled or stewed - think of a combination of greek mezze and arabic food. The pide mentioned above are a revelation. Good on you anatolia - we need achange from thai and indian. Jeremy Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Hmm... Anatolia. 22. Have a look at your neighbours. The herne do a good, well priced menu in a place that is family friendly. Si Mangia do good italian well priced food and are family friendly The cafe on peckham rye doe a good balanced array of foods and is family friendly. Seeing a trend here?? Keep the food authentic, well priced, some good wines (which do not need to be expensive) and make sure there is room for the mums on maternity during the day and there is a changing station in BOTH toilets and you should be onto a winner. Put me down for a table on your opening night. I'm a big fan of the food the old anatolia did.
