  1. No. No bloody parking restrictions. By all means apply a fine to every estate agents car, but that's it.
  2. I also had a few attempts at identity theft after our bin was gone through. Its not very environmental to say, but all personal docs now go on the fire to avoid the same.... I wish there was a secure recycling plus normal.
  3. when most things are overproduced, they are then discounted until they get a buyer.... work that one out.....
  4. Sparkes. noth cross rd at the weekend. much better.
  5. What are the opening times?? I have turned up 3 times and it has been shut or not serving food on each occasion.
  6. Good point Bob.... I hadn't thought of that. Still, what tight bstards.
  7. Could the person who keeps nicking our recycling box / bag from Hillcourt Rd pls stop it? It is really easy to get replacements from the council. It's starting to get on my nerves - and I am short of fuse. Before anyone asks, no it wasn't the bin men.
  8. wow - I just looked on the TW site. What an amazing bit of engineering.
  9. Head to The Marais or St Germain. The main street (Vieille du Temple) of the Marais has so many amazing places . St Germain is so chichi you can pretty mauch go to any cafe and have a superb lunch. My personal favorite is The Gamin de Paris in the Marais 51, rue Vieille du Temple, Paris If you continue down the v du temple just before you get to the river on the right, there is a lovely place with a great garden... can't remember the name though.... Try this site. http://www.paris-eating.com
  10. TEA (Traditional English Ale) from the Hogsback brewery and Poachers choice from Badgers pls.
  11. I would like to know why there are no obligations on owners of properties to maintain their assets..? Surely this is the root cause??
  12. The median multiple - does this really exist?? Surely the lack of consideration of previous assets in this means it is flawed? Surely - 3x salary is only applicable to houses where buyers have bought with a 100% mortgage. If the 80% of the market who are remortgageing are to be considered, we have to remember they have some worth before taking out their new mortgage. A 60% fall? - that's Daily Mail territory! Scare-mongering!
  13. Don't forget the ED specials: My child is more gifted more than yours... My house has made / lost more in value than yours Anyone got any more??!
  14. I always think the most important addition to a brownie (apart from good chocolate) is a good slug of bourbon (knob creek). Keeps it very sticky and there is always the option of a swig whilst cooking!
  15. So, am I the only one who is having a nightmare??? Anyone got any ideas on how to get anything out of them? If you are planning on using them.... don't.
  16. I have had some emails from council members, and it seems there is a fair old stink being raised about this. i mean... blue??? even white would have been better...
  17. Touching up the affected area.. That's one way of putting it. Muppets
  18. Following an email sent to the councilors on this thread, James Barber thinks we should blame the ones doing the painting. I quote... Agree this has not been handled well and will get resolved bt surely your ire should be directed at the numerous people who sprayed graffiti on this mural. I am wondering if he refers to the big blue tag?
  19. Or of course, the council could engage their collective noggins in advance. Peter - Every person involved, from the executive to the bloke who did the actual painting should have stopped, taken stock of the situation and checked again. You don't have to ask an internet forum if painting a wall bright blue is a good idea - particularly if it involves painting over something which has clearly taken a great deal of time an is in such a public space (with graffiti or not). You are the people we have placed our collective trust in. You need to remember it is us who you pledged to serve, and you (and all your colleagues) should consider our likely opinions in every action you take. I hope now some red faced 'executives' will be seen on Goose Green very soon.
  20. Tony was a sound bloke. Always honest and decent.
  21. I would imagine many women would appreciate men noticing their haircut.. Honestly, you women are so hard to please!
  22. We use a local bloke called Dave who has a new SUV which will whisk you to the airport without grief for ?40.

  24. I eat at the Herne pretty much every week - often more. On a few occasions, some food has been unavailable, but 99% of the time the service, quality, speed is excellent. I also have not had a single complaint from any of the many people i have taken there. I would love to meet MW74 there for a spot of dinner, see if they know arse from elbow and all that. Chris - keep up the good work.
  25. I have only had one experience there and it was terrible. Slow, greasy, tasteless, bad sausages etc etc. Rows in the kitchen.. wrong food delivered etc etc. I will give it another bash, but really, Franklins has the best breakfast in my opinion. The quality of the ingredients is superb.
