Nearly East Dulwich Can you help? A friend of mine had his rucksack which is black and silver stolen from his car this afternoon around 3pm. The rucksack contains some of his work for his unversity degree, his course work and course notes. As you can imagine he is very distressed about losing this. Hi As far as I am aware the street lighting improvements as you state are partly for improved security particularly in colour recogntion using white light which consists of the most recent cost effective system currently available. Opposed to the old yellow and orange type lighting. I assume this is the weird light you refer to, and without it you may have lost the scooter not just the petrol, anyway this is an inner London urban area where else would a decent lighting scheme be better placed. All power to the council for the improved lighting I say. May I suggest if you have a particular problem with light pollution you contact Southwark and ask if some form of shading can be fitted to any offending lantern.

Now that the humps in Homstall Road are going back in and therefore the works finishing, does this mean the traffic lights are going and the crossing is being put back in forest hill road, as there was nothing wrong with it in the first place.

Hi I work in our Croydon office sometimes and it can take between 25 - 40 minutes. You are going against the traffic. Although on the day of the first snow it took me 5 and half hours to get home. Good luck with you new job.

Mr Barber Could you please help regarding the roadworks and temporary traffic lights at the junction of Peckham Rye and East Dulwich Road. It really is chaotic, dangerous and adding a good 35 minutes to journey times down a very short piece of road. At the very least the temporary lights could be re-set so the traffic passed through much quicker. Could you find out how much longer this is going to be in place.
