  1. Come dine with me on this week says south london? anyone know whereabouts???
  2. yes keef unfortunatly we are not all super wealthy. would love a takeaway and a bottle of wine!
  3. they need to make incentives for people to get back to work. I know someone who has 4 children all supported by the tax payer, will it be worthwhile for their parents to go back to work? no. Its another kick in the teeth for the middle classes. I wonder how much implementing the new CB scheme is going to cost the tax payer?
  4. what dosent make sense is that if you had a couple with a JOINT income of ?70,000 they will get CB. If a single mum or dad had an income of ?45,000 they wouldnt recieve CB???
  5. i thought they were trying to encourage people back to work. i cant help but get the feeling this will put people off putting in more hours so they dont go over the tax bracket. it would have been better to say after the child is 16 you wont recieve anymore money.
  6. Just seen the news this morning wondering what other peoples feelings on this were?
  7. boil in the bag cod where do you get that from? not a bad idea...
  8. ohh angel delight love it although little one dosent have this yet. serve it in champagne glasses looks so lovely!
  9. im really glad this has been highlighted. well done for posting this story, who knows it might save someones life in the future.

  12. im with your Charlie Charlie all these bins bags etc getting daft
  13. funnily enough i noticed vanish got a telling off on bbc watchdog last night for making false claims on stain removal products and they dont work
  14. thing is were not getting so much sun as we used to now? but there is probably some truth behind that!
  15. Mrs TP were the same as you we only got an outside bin. no kitchen caddy business ? Going back to the nappy issue (UH OHH!) I remember travelling to greece and we couldn't even put toilet paper down the bog (yes even soiled paper) and it had to go in a little bin that stayed in the flat. we had no air con either!
  16. okay not the most exciting of subjects, but does anyone have any secrets on how to get food stains out of baby's clothes? orange stains seem to be the hardest!!
  17. bob :actually even better create a land fill on goose green !
  18. we are in upland road and havent recieved a "food waste" little bin. I found a "medium" sized one one oout the front of our house. Im all for recycling and sorting out waste but isnt this getting a bit daft? I see the paper recycling bags flapping around on the streets/pavements. the usual recycling boxes, the wheelie bins for i suppose general waste a food caddy and a medium sized bin for garden waste and food?
  19. eek my worst nightmare!
  20. its a difficult situation when your at someone elses house. ive said to hubby tonight im not in a rush to go back to their place again and im hoping their attitudes will change when theyve had their baby. Im glad you feel the same as i doon this Ruth i thought i was being hormonal! I want my little girl to be comfortable around animals but i guess you have to draw the line somewhere. Big learning curve......
  21. we went to a friends house for dinner yesterday and they had a small dog that kept licking my 9 month old daughters face. I kept moving the dog away (my husband never said anything to back me up on this!) to try and stop the animal. Our friends are expecting a baby and i wonder if they will be letting their dog lick their babies face when its born!? Im really annoyed at myself that i didnt speak up more about this...sorry if this seems a bit random post but im actually quite disgusted and upset by it now
  22. we have been invited to a wedding in south africa (march 2011). we have a little one who will be 15 months by then. does anyone know what vaccinations/ medications we might be looking at for this? I have recently refused the BCG for her now im wondering if i should have got it done ((arghhh decisions!?)
  23. I hate to say it Zeban but what you are saying is out of touch and unrealistic. Im glad we live in a modern society where mums and dads feel comfortable to take their children out and about and not have to put them in a "real creche". should we revert back to a victorian society? i know lets send little kids back up the chimneys
