  1. Great stuff and authentic too. I lived/worked in Paris for many years and was there during the 70s, so familiar with the music.
  2. It does ?7.50 a jar, but nice honey.
  3. Hope it is the Real McCoy and not pseudo French.
  4. I use this supermarket frequently for small purchases, and I would completely disagree with OP and helpinghandcleaners. There is the odd occasion when shelves are sparse or one of the employees has a box on the floor trying to stock up, but other than that, the staff are friendly, and the shop is what you would expect from these smaller supermarket outlets. If there is a queue, they are usually quite quick in finding another colleague to take over a cashier point.
  5. I did the rounds of all the local hairdressers when I arrived in ED a few years back and I did not like anyone of them. However, I have been going to Kuki on Bellenden Road now since they opened 2/3 years ago and wouldn't go anywhere else.
  6. Always Kuki. The best in the local area. Shingo is terrific but popular.
  7. Just before Christmas, one rather large rat ran from the street into the Co-op shop on Lordship Lane.
  8. You mean there are people who actually read the Daily Mail? Jeez.
  9. Kuki - they are all good, but I've been using Shingo since he opened and I wouldn't go elsewhere.
  10. I have been trying to get hold of them since before 1pm and a voice message indicates that they are opened from 8 until 1, closed 1-2pm, my last call was 2 minutes ago and the same voice mail is still on so no reply.
  11. There are stacks of positive comments re Kuki on this forum. Fantastic hairdressers.
  12. There was a lot of build up to the storm, but this area seems to have done not too badly and the wind was nothing to write home about. Other areas, South West etc are not so well off.
  13. I have quite a few in my flat every year. Thought they came from terrace. I gently put them outside if I can get to them, but most are on ceiling. They disappear eventually, though found two on my pillow last year. Olbas Oil is obtainable from Holland & Barrett and most good health shops so not difficult to find at any time of the year.
  14. I've pm'd you. Won't see any reply until Monday.
  15. All bread in boulangeries in France are inexpensive considering the quality. They sell more than just baguettes and if any UK bakery is as good as the French ones they will do well.
  16. I have done a little of Chen Man Ch'ing. How much do you charge one to one? No chance of group class? Thanks.
  17. I second Local Greens. Been with them a few months and really enjoy their veg. Good, sustainable little and local company,.
  18. Happens all over the place, including France.
  19. I asked in Sainsburys Locale last year when it cost me a good bit more in the shop near to Dulwich Library for a bottle of Prosecco. They are classified as "convenience" stores (as are Tesco Express) due to their opening times and the Managers are at liberty to increase the prices of products.
  20. You could try Dulwich therapy rooms: www.dulwichtherapyrooms.co.uk/‎ Dulwich Therapy Rooms, Integrated Health Centre, 47 Lordship Lane, East Dulwich, London SE22 8EP, Tel. 020 8299 4232. They have both and I use Chiro there as well other practitioners and they are still open at 7pm but reception will let you know if practitioners are available.
  21. Posted by pinecone Yesterday, 10:30PM lots of daily mail readers on the EDF, louisa Just what I was thinking just now when reading the comments. Can't get any worse than that.
  22. I would welcome one or a market stall to begin with. It must be good quality, authentic and not cost the earth. There is a miss in this area regarding Japanese food.
  23. It is where the Locale restaurant used to be, next to the kids swing park and beside the small row of shops.
