He said it several times, I gave up counting.... He also said "I'm not a campaigner, I'm a comedian" even though it came up on screen "Russell Brand - campaigner and comedian".... He'd make a good politician - he's a self-deluded liar in that he's not funny...

  7. I rang to check if they had a particular chutney in stock (quite a difficult one to find) - he said that he did and had plenty of it; couldn't get to the shops that day, when I did go in the following day, he told me off for not having been in before (even though the shelf was groaning with jars of said condiment)!
  8. Here's a thought - how about people sweeping the leaves outside their homes into a pile (a) against their fence/wall; (b) into the gutter; © into a carrier bag and sticking it in a bin..... then perhaps we could all start to recreate a sense of community instead of bitching about things not getting done???
  9. Anyway - Martina McBride
  10. Heaven is a place on earth - Belinda Carlisle
  11. Harrods, Selfridges et al usually have their Christmas departments from mid-August - they're after the tourist dollars, yen, dirham, roubles etc etc... There's a Christmas shop in Sausalito CA open all year round - nobody seems to mind as they know it's (again) aimed at tourists....

  25. I found a pair of big fat orange slimers "in flagrente" very much delicto this morning, curled round each other in a yin and yang pose - not for long, out came the Saxo (but at least they died happy).....
