Tiny Little Things That Cause You Irrational Rage

If you mean me, El Pibe, I am entitled to interpret a person's response how I see fit - just because a language evolves doesn't mean I have to like it or, indeed, embrace it. Actually, you saw fit to tell me what to do. Anyhoo (now that one really irritates, although with yey high) - I'm off to enquire about someone's wellbeing - hope you all have a jolly well day..... -

Apologies if this has been covered before - when asked "how are you" the response "I'm good". I'm enquiring after your health not your behavioural status. "My bad" is another one - it makes me want to heave. -

Hard wired alarms cost about ?25 each, so ?60 to install each one is a bit steep (if he did the whole house in half a day he's raking it in).... East Dulwich deli sausage roll recipe needed
LadyNorwood replied to Sallysausagepants's topic in The Lounge
Speldhurst sausage meat is the best if you're making your own (tricky to find though)... Drive down to Speldhurst on a nice sunny day and stock up - they do delicious chipolatas at Christmas. -
Isn't a good troll an oxymoron? I hate 'twatoos' if that's any good??

Our neighbours at the back knocked on the door to complain about the woodpecker that was going mental every morning about 4 o'clock - it was drilling into a bird box on the pear tree..... Neighbours wanted me to 'do something about it' and 'couldn't control that bird' - errr, no.....

"Not a tiny amount of shame" - what a ridiculous comment.... "West Dulwich isn't really much of a place" - well we've lived here for 16 years and love it - there's a wonderful community spirit and people are very friendly, but then you'd only know that if you lived here.....

Self-closing hinges have different time closing settings - they don't slam shut - not dangerous at all!!

We were told we had to have fire doors - but finally got building regs to accept very thick pine doors (each specially made as each door was slightly different in our Victorian semi) with self-closing hinges (found brass ones online, not the hideous Perco? closers) which satisfied them... Ask building regs what thickness of pine/oak door they would accept....

If Labour get in, I'm off to pay my taxes elsewhere - in my ward the Tory councillors worked hard for the community, but since Labour have been in charge nothing has been done..... I've had a visit from Labour candidates/councillors once - in SIXTEEN years!
