  3. Hi Just cycled past two guys on a scooter, number plate obscured, one with a balaclava - checking out a motorbike around the back of Hilversum Crescent. They sped off when they saw me looking at them. The bike they were looking at is chained up with a cover on.
  4. Hi, yes it was locked to the proper parking stands by the crossing. I was trying to keep it in view while I was in the Co-op, but hey.
  5. Hi Big blue Klein Attitude mountain bike which was locked outside Co-op, taken at about 8pm tonight - very distinctive due to its size. Only left it for a few minutes. Any sightings or info about where to look out for it would be appreciated. Thanks.

  7. I just wanted to second this recommendation for Gary Skinner. First Choice Decorating have just finished work on our living room, dining room and the outside of our front bay window. We're really happy with the finish. The walls and coving were in a bad state and they've all been repaired and look as good as new. They did a great job on the woodwork which was all very chipped, repaired a broken floorboard and fitted beading to the top of the skirting in the dining room so it matched the skirting in the living room - all looks great. The sill of the front bay window was cracked & badly damaged and and again we're really pleased with how that's turned out. They left everything tidy at the end of each day and did a great job clearing up at the end. We would definitely use First Choice Decorating again.
  8. Hi, do you also [still] run the Saturday and Sunday morning sessions at JAGS, or is that a different set-up now? Thanks
  9. Anyone know who this dog belongs to please? Had a summer of continuous evening/night woofing, and enough's enough.
  10. Hi, we had the same situation a couple of years ago, and after much searching on the internet discovered that bumble bees are protected and that we shouldn't disturb the nest. We really wanted just to move the nest so that we could use the compost bin again, and had no desire to harm the bees in any way. So, we left them be for the summer and used a temporary compost bin. They were no trouble and we (including our little boy) found them fascinating. As mentioned above they vacated or died off at the end of the summer and we reclaimed the bin. We became quite attached to them, so during that summer we bought a bee house in the hope that they would move or come back, but they never did :-(
  11. Hmmm, anyway, back to topic.... FYI, there were three horses in the field yesterday evening, one chestnut and two white ones with light brown markings. I think the the chestnut is the same horse that foaled this time last year (photo attached). They seemed happy enough, but I'll cycle past tomorrow morning and ask about their collective mood.
  12. Yowzer, sorry to hear that, and hope you're okay. I go through there every day, and I've had to stop a couple of times, once with having a puncture and (last week) someone I was cycling behind got a puncture. I stopped to make sure he was kitted up, but didn't think to stop longer for these reasons. On the route I normally come from (canal then Glengall Road) there are usually quite a few cyclists together after being released by the traffic lights over the Old Kent Road - a few cyclists together is a good deterrent. Coming home in the dark seems dodgier. Maybe if people are reading this then they (especially big ugly geezers like me) could make the effort to hook up briefly with lone cyclists, and ride in convoy through the 'dodgy' bits'.
  13. seanmlow my missing the point was deliberate, you were caught and fined, it's a fair cop guv. the other people got away this time, as do millions of other misdemeanours every day. life just ain't fair is it?
