  1. Is he as Over Rated as say Wayne Rooney ? Now that What I call Over Rated
  2. Don't see that many Stray Dogs in ED. Mostly with their owner. So no excuse for Dog Poo on our streets. I once approached a middle aged woman in Dulwich Park and said "Your dog has just Pooed over there" Her reply was "What's your 'effing' problem mate. Dogs got 'effing' go somewhere." I asked her if she was going to pick it up. and she replied. "You 'effing' pick it up" No keepers in the park these days.
  3. The Co-op is truely abysmal. With it's empty shelves It resembles images of Eastern-Bloc supermarkets during the Cold War. It is much over priced. Many of the Perishable goods are reduced because they have reached their Use-by date. Vegetables are sparse and those that are available look 'tired' Gateways, Somerfields and now The Co-op have failed to make the site work. Probally because of Sainsburys at Dog Kennel Hill and now with the opening of the Sainsbury Local up by the Plough, things will not get any better for any store in Lordship Lane. Not sure what the answer is.
  4. I must try and find those Rose-Tinted-Spectacles. How much more wonderful the World and East Dulwich would be. Where everything is perfect and no one ever has need to complain. And Policemen turn into Goblins when you pass them in the street. And everyone is really nice to each other. And everyone is Equal irespective of Race, Colour, Creed, Gender, Sexual Preference. Lovely Day. Pease and love. Man. How nice to live in Total Blissful Ignorance.

Full conversation was. Me "Hello, have you got any Fresh Tiger Prawns please ?" Oik "What ju mean, Tiger Prawns. ?" Me "Tigers ! Don't know else to call them " Oik "oh I know. No we don't do 'em. No Call for 'em." Asks boss. Boss oik " I can order a Box of Frozen ones. Err.. be 40 quid." me "No, it's ok. I'll leave it. Thanks " Like I say Morons.

  7. Moxons should be called Morons. Some time back I went there to buy some Fresh Tiger Prawns. Available in most Supermarkets. They did not sell them. But could order a box of frozen Tigers for ?40.00. Never been back.

Where are there any Locally Produced goods in/near East Dulwich. 120 years ago Dulwich had many farms. Today don't see many local farms. Cannabis Farms maybe.

Why should residents have to pay to park outside their homes just to sponser a market. I have a much better idea. Why not have the market in Dulwich Village where the road is wider. I am sure the residents there would not mind all the traffic and inconvienience . Judging by all the 4x4's that come to North Cross Market they mostly come from Dulwich Village anyway.
  11. There is nothing sold on the stalls in North Cross Road that I need. I have never been tempted by any of the food available. The smell just puts me off. Must be dreadful living right on N C Rd. On the other hand the Aroma on Lordship Lane from the Indian Rests. and the Bar-b-que pit from the local Turkish outlet is a completely different story. Always makes me feel hungry.
  12. I have previously expressed th same comments as Sue above. Drivers in Ulverscroft and Felbrigg unable to get out / Turn around. There are Disabled Drivers in Ulverscroft Rd. That may need to use their cars. I was not consulted. I did not get a survey. If you happen to be facing the right way, and then leave, on return you can only enter from Whately Road and will be facing the wrong way.
  13. Waitrose can open in one of the small closed shops and then as it puts all of the remaining small traders out of business, it can expand till it owns a complete parade of shops. Then we can kiss goodbye to any community spirit left in E.D.
  14. I had a curry on Wednesday night, It was very nice. Then I went for a beer in the pub. It was very nice. Then I went home and went to sleep. Not very interesting. Moaning and complaining is much more interesting.
  15. Sue Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Is that true, Dulwich Fox? > > It certainly doesn't seem to have been much in use > as a gallery lately. Well, it does not seem to run as a business. Have not seen any advertisement for local artists to display their work. Don't see anyone inside the premise. It is a common practise to hold on to property in this way.
  16. Somebody has bought the property cheaply. They are waiting for Commercial Property prices to rise. They need to show that the building is being used, and not left empty.

  21. Why not go the whole hog and buy yourself a shopping trolly. You can put your laptop brief case and still have room for all your shopping. http://img.logismarket.co.uk/ip/palletower-gb-ltd-shopping-trolley-223446.gif Here
  22. So Green and Black don't provide Plastic Bags as their part in saving the Planet. But can supply Hessian Bags.. Made by small Children around the world in countries like China and India. ?? So thats OK then.

  24. What happend to peaceful protest:- In spring 1978, 100,000 people marched six miles from Trafalgar Square to the East End of London (a National Front hotspot) for an open-air music festival organized by RAR (Rock Against Racism" and the Anti-Nazi League, to counteract the growing wave of racist attacks in the UK. The concert featured The Clash (as seen in the film Rude Boy),Buzzcocks, Steel Pulse, X-Ray Spex, The Ruts, Sham 69, Generation X and the Tom Robinson Band. The Police flanked both sides of the column and in general engaged in friendly banter with the marchers. The only trouble was when we passed an East London Pub and the marchers were bombardied with bottles from the National Front. There was no retalitary action from the marchers. It is possible for 100,000 to march peacefully. The route needs to be carefully planned and adhered to. It was a great day.
