pedropowers Wrote: ----------------------------------------------------- DulwichFox - Please take no offense but Private messages should remain private I feel. ----------------------------------------------------- Your PM was in response to my question.. "Is this a new venture.. ? Have you worked in this field before.. I don't know how someone becomes a Tattooist / Tattoo artist. Presumable you have to be trained.. Where does someone learn this trade.?" This surely could have been answered in the Forum Page... Not as a PM. I only posted part of your PM I thought the forum might need clarification on.. Wish only the very best in your venture... Have you been able to find a suitable location yet.. ??? Fox

You are correct.. I don't think Pedro was deliberately being misleading. But I feel most people here assumed he was a tattooist himself. Dont think the project is financially viable in this area...

People have been slightly mislead here... pedropowers is not actually a Tattooist.. He sent me a PM * where he was very open about his intentions..

Unnecessary heating of the atmosphere (aka patio heaters)
DulwichFox replied to malumbu's topic in The Lounge
Since the smoking ban pubs across the country have installed 1000's of these heaters to keep Smokers sitting outside warm. Semi-covered areas have been built just for smokers. No longer pleasent to sit outside in the 'Fresh Air' These heaters are far from green. At the same time the inside of many pubs have no heating with customers huddled up in coats and scarves. (winter) My pub has the windows open all through the winter with no heating on most of the time Inside. When it is wet they pull down the canopys which funnels smoke from outside.. inside. But last night which was the warmest of the summer they had the windows closed tight. Manager said it was for the Air-con.. But the air con was switched off.. Too expensive to run ??? Have to keep Smokers happy.. sod the rest of you... -
Question about stars (the ones in the sky)
DulwichFox replied to Thomas Micklewright's topic in The Lounge
The explosion of a supernova occurs in a star in a very short timespan of about 100 seconds. When a star undergoes a supernova explosion, it dies leaving behind a remnant: either a neutron star or a black hole. Details Here. -
Question about stars (the ones in the sky)
DulwichFox replied to Thomas Micklewright's topic in The Lounge

Stars take millions of years to die out and are not visible even before they die. When a star 'dies' (by that I mean when there are no more nuclear fusion reactions going on in it), it can take three different forms. Depending on the initial mass of the star, it will become either a white dwarf, a neutron star or a black hole. You can immediately rule out seeing black holes because they don't emit any light, and neutron stars because they are too small. This leaves us with white dwarfs, which are the larger of the three possible end products for stars. Unfortunately, you will not be able to see even the brightest white dwarf. More detail... Here -
Having a Cigarette whilst driving is dangerous. You first need to locate your ciggies.. Then a method to light it. Matches.... Lighter.... ?? Car lighter ... press .. wait to warm up... retract from holder... light cigarette... replace in holder.. Requires manoverours similar to tuning radio.. as you have to take your eyes off the road... A work mate of mine a few years back drove into the back of another car whilst selecting a sweet from the passengers seat. Just a second of distraction... Fox

East Dulwich Flight Path No Planes today

Dorothy Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I have lived in ED for coming up to 16 years too, > but WHAT is the point of this thread Dulwich Fox? > > > I have seen plenty of planes today. I saw plenty of planes yesterday but they were all City Airport Planes which circle from south east then head north from an ED view point. The POINT of this thread is the same as any other thread. For people tp discuss... With 667 reads there is obiously some interest in the Title subject. With Heathrow expansion and the introduction of Night Flights I am sure many people will want to know if flight paths over South London are to remain or be changed.. The Planes over ED Head Due West towards Heathrow. after completing any stacking. By the time they are over ED they will be lined up with the runway for their approach. There is always slight adjustments in their position (Due to Prevailing Wind) but these do not make a vast difference viewed from the ground. I.E. you can still see and hear the aircraft. Anyway... Today the planes are over ED with a slight Southernly aspect. -

All this talk about wind direction.... As I said earlier.. no wind today... I have lived in my home in ED for 16 years. The only other time there were no planes was during the Icelandic volcanic eruption. -

Only me! Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > probaly means that the wind is unusually from the > East, so the planes take off & land the other way > round. There is virtually no wind today... I have seen planes over ED. with all kinds of wind, rain, thunderstorms... They usually fly directly over me but can deviate slightly. There seems to be something in the air today.. Or should I say, not in the air. -
East Dulwich is on the Flight Path to Heathrow. Usually a plane every 2 mins..] Anyone else noticed there are no planes today..

Is this a new venture.. ? Have you worked in this field before.. I don't know how someone becomes a Tattooist / Tattoo artist. Presumable you have to be trained.. Where does someone learn this trade. Setting up any business in todays climate is risky. I wonder how many of the people who have given you positive feedback will actually become customers.. Tattoos are not something people have every day like food. I had a shop in Uplands Road back in 1994 . was converted to 2 flats.. as I did not want to buy a 14 year lease. Lost a lot of my own money.. Just be carefull. Fox.. ;-)

Traffic lights at The Kings Arms junction Peckham Rye has not reduced accidents. In fact the long delays have frustrated drivers an caused them to speed up and jump the lights. -

I said, I cannot remember anyone suggesting a Tattoo Parlour. Ok there was someone, but most of the suggestions were for M&S and Waitrose which I do remember.. Cannot read every line of every thread. trizza Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > As townleygreen said, the result of your MOT > makes NO difference to your road tax band. I re-taxed my car today... I had to present a Valid MOT and Insurance Document. You cannot Tax a car if it has failed the MOT. or is not insured. Recent legislation now requires you to have Insurance even if your car is off the road. Tommy:- If the immissions levels did not cause the car to Fail the MOT you should be OK.

Before any new business opens anywhere, it's suitability and benifit to the local community needs to be considered. Would a Tattoo Parlour be of benifit to the Majority of the Community. Threre are places withing a 10-15 minute walk where one can get a tattoo. In various passed Threads on what East Dulwich needs, I cannot remember anyone suggesting a Tattoo Parlour.

Needle of Death. Bert Jansch.... Needle Of Death lyrics When sadness fills your heart And sorrow hides the longing to be free When things go wrong each day You fix your mind to 'scape your misery Your troubled young life Had made you turn To a needle of death How strange, your happy words Have ceased to bring a smile from everyone How tears have filled the eyes Of friends that you once had walked among Your troubled young life Had made you turn To a needle of death One grain of pure white snow Dissolved in blood spread quickly to your brain In peace your mind withdraws Your death so near your soul can't feel no pain Your troubled young life Had made you turn To a needle of death Your mother stands a'cryin' While to the earth your body's slowly cast Your father stands in silence Caressing every young dream of the past Your troubled young life Had made you turn To a needle of death Through ages, man's desires To free his mind, to release his very soul Has proved to all who live That death itself is freedom for evermore And your troubled young life Will make you turn To a needle of death [ From: http://www.elyrics.net/read/b/bert-jansch-lyrics/needle-of-death-lyrics.html] Song Very Sad Song
