Narnia Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > How is the 'owner' different from the keeper? Who is the registered keeper? The registered keeper is the person whose name appears on Section 5 of the Registration Certificate of the vehicle (also called the log book). That person is responsible for taxing the vehicle, doing the MOT and maintaining it in good condition. Traffic violations like parking tickets and speeding fines will be sent to that same person as well. Who is the legal owner? The legal owner is the owner of the car, that is, the person who has a legally enforceable claim to the car. That person has the right to sell the vehicle while the registered keeper is not in a position to do that (if registered keeper and owner are different). Most of the time, the legal owner and the registered keeper will be the same person. However in cases where a car is leased, then the legal owner will normally be the company and the registered keeper the employee who uses the car. Another example is when a father buys a car for the son to use ? the father may want to retain all rights to the car but give the responsibility of day to day running to the son. Most car insurance companies will insist that the policy holder be the registered keeper to keep things simple and will not quote for cases where they are different. By law, the policy holder does not need to be the registered keeper but you will be narrowing your choices of insurers if you are in this situation. Source:- Here

The bottom bar is the task bar. all progamms running will be there. Clicking on a programme there will toggle between min window size and maximise window size. Your Blue cicle was probally a minimised window for help and support. Which you sucsesfully ended in task manager. Not sure about your green arrow, dont have one on my keyboard. Save your work. Close down/restart PC and check all is ok.
-
Hi LM Position your mouse over the Blue Circle with the ? mark You should see a little box with the a discription If it says Help and Support. Click on it. It will either close the box already open or open a new box. If it opens a new box try and close that box with the Red X If that closes then you should be able to close the other box.
-
Drag the box to one side. There may well be another box underneath that needs to be closed first. One of the programes you are running may well of been minimised. and will be on the bottom task bar.

Hi LM. The letters are not quite as random as they seem. They seem to form blocks of characters that are next to each other on the keyboard. Looks like you may of leant on the keyboard or placed say a book on it. ??? Just close the window as Kalamitykel has suggested by clicking the Red X top right of the Windows Help and Support Window.

I have been in The Bishop and the Actress when sport is on with the sound turned down and music playing over speakers. Was told that some people object to the sound of the Football. Not been to The Victoria when the Xfactor is on. Do they show xfactor with no sound to please those customers who don't want to hear it.

Funny how people complain about the Trains and the Buses when it snows. People do not generally moan about the actual Weather. People at work seem to look out of the window and Gleefully announce that the Snow is getting worse. Then when it's time to get home it's 'The Stupid ****ing Buses. One flake of Snow and it's Chaos.. Don't happen in other countries.' .... Winge..... Moan ....Whine.

What > recession eh? You are forgetting take outs , deliveries . Kebab and Wine certainly do more than 30 covers per day. Well over 100 I was told by managment that the Actress did 200 Pizzas on one day. I have a sit down myself (Indian) Tuesday. Not the busiest evening. In just the hour I am there, constant Deliveries, The Bishop certainly does more than 30 covers Sunday lunch time. People regularly eat in the evenings. Last Thursday I could not get into Dulwich Tandoori at 10.00 It was full as were all the other Indian Restaurants. Apart from the 30 outlets in Lordship Lane. There are many other take aways in the area. Barry rd. Upper end of LS Lane. area around ED Station. East Dul Rd. E.d. Grove. Upland rd. North cross rd. Forest hill rd. I also get leaflets for delivery from Brockley, Gypsy Hill, Camberwell, Nunhead, Hearn Hill All these buisineses are surviving. 800 covers. ??? don't think so.

Broken street lights outside your home?
DulwichFox replied to James Barber's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I reported a broken street light outside my house using Southwark Council Online facility. No response after about 10 days. Called Southwark Council and reported it over the phone. Fixed in about 4 days. (tu) -
Car Batteries usually last 4-5 years. A car battery like any other Wet cell should be charged at the 16 Hour Rate. Therefore a standard 12 volt 80 Ampere Hour Battery should be charged at 5 Amps for 16 Hours. (Full Charge) Many chargers available will deliver 3 - 5 amps so will give a good charge after 8-12 hours providing you give the car a bit of a run after re fitting the battery. Charging at a higher rate will cause Sulphation of the battery plates. At even higher rates of charge, the plates will buckle and the sulpate break up and will sink to the bottom of the battery and short it out. The battery is then un repairable.
