  1. Just wanted to add my little girl had bad reaction to aptamil was always throwing up and so on! Changed to cow an gate and shes perfectly fine now :) i think the amount of powder you add in is different i think C&G use less amounts of powder for a feed then aptamil...
  2. Im at the DMC too but never go in to book appointment if you call at opening times you usually have to wait a gd 10mins but they do eventually get to you and i get an appointment! x but tbh their still super crap... My daughter needed immulisations and they had no appointments for over two months!! So she was behind on getting them which really worried me x
  3. Hi everyone i know this topic has been done to death but i really need some advice!! I currently have a cameleon that my daughter loves (shes 7 months) but im now going bk to work and my parents will have her on the weekend. They really dont understand how to use the cam and i think they find it quite overwhelming so i was initially going to buy them a cheap maclaren however after looking at some bugaboo bees i really do like them, i live in a flat and am always having trouble bringing the cam down however if i had a bee it would make my life so much easier! I will also be picking up my daughter from her childminder after university and thought the bee would be easy for me to bring along... Is the bee just as comfortable as the cameleon? Does it hold out in rain? Can babys sit in it for a while without feeling uncomfortable? My daughter can sleep for hours in the cam so am worried that she might feel uncomfortable in the bee :S advise pls? Thanks! Nabz x
  4. sorry to steal this thread but does maxicosy pebble carseat fit in with bugaboo bee plus? x
  5. personally i think its only reflux when babys in pain but im no GP! thats exactly how saf was happy still playing just throwing up on me after every meal! hmm i only changed from aptamil to cow and gate so not sure..perhaps do it slowly to not upset his stomach? how old is he? have you seen a difference in him since the prescribed formula? if hes stopped throwing up then perhaps its worked :D otherwise im not too sure on sma as never used it but im really not a fan of aptamil even though i know its mums number 1 brand, cow and gate has helped so much, my washing has deffinitly gone down and she doesnt need to be changed after every feed! nabz x
  6. Hi there just thought il let you know the exact same thing happened to my daughter recently started mix feeding (she is 7 months old) and was constantly throwing up!! projectile vomit everywhere but she was in no pain just throwing up :S so i new it wasnt reflux and my gp said the same thing. i then realised it was aptamil formula she was on, i think it may have been too heavy for her? im now on stage 3 cow and gate and the vomiting has completly stopped. this formula requires more scoops so i assume that its not as heavy as aptamil. perhaps you could try buying a small box and testing it out? and your not rubbish! your doing whats best for your baby nabz x
  7. Thank you very much for the advise iv just put an ad in the family classified section as il need it asap!
  8. This thread is great! Im going with 7 month old to watch swimming on wed, i have no ear protectors should i get one? And can i bring my cooled boiled water in a thermos? Not sure how much water it holds but will double check! And i can bring my fully packed changing bag? That includes calpol formula powder and the rest of it x
  9. I have a chameleon and take it everywhere! I dont drive so you an imagine i use public transport everyday! It takes some getting use to but i fit in all buses with no fuss, personally i like the bee because its so light but chameleon is so comfy for my 6 month old,as its wider and bigger i think it feels more comfy then the bee. She was using the bassinet till 6 months and feel asleep straight away so to me it was important to have :) nabz x

  23. hi Hollie Iv just started weaning my baby girl (will be 5m on sat), just started her on baby rice first making it quite watery. she gobbles all of it up with no problem so i know shes ready lol! I dont think il start any real purees untill shes 5 and a half months but will increase the baby rice I bought some tomme tippe weaning stuff from mothercare they sell a first starter kit which i found sooo useful. the spoon is made out of a soft flexible material and my baby loves chewing on it and easily swallow whats on it. i new she was ready as she was trying to eat off our plates and steal our spoons! her sleeping pattern also changed and it indicated to me that milk wasnt enough as she was waking up several times in the night with her little belly rumbling! look for signs from your baby boy and hel tell you when hes ready for solids! but tbh if you can stick to just milk atm i would weaning is such a hassel lol! so much more washing up and have to pack food in my bag now :P was much simpler just breastfeeding alone lol! nabz x
