Huh? No rice? I know we're in > the grips of a world food shortage, but > seriously.... Proper egg fried rice is rice which is cooked the day before and left to cool covered in the fridge then reheated the next day and stirfried with the egg added so they may well have run out
  2. Looks like Wenger is playing our B team on Sunday against Sunderland. Shame none of the matches will be televised.
  3. Bournemouth beach is great - take the train from Waterloo - about 2 hours.
  4. I think the funniest moment was when Sir Alan suggested Michael might like to drop his trousers to prove he was "a nice jewish boy"!
  5. Apparently they get sent to Morocco for 2 days to haggle and buy merchandise in the souk
  6. The good thing about the train is that if there is an annoying person near you talking on the phone or has the ipod turned up way too high you only have to suffer it for 10 mins or so. whereas suffering it for 45 mins on the bus is just too much.
  7. I get the 8.15 every morning and always get a seat. The trick is to walk down the platform to the last two carriages and get on there.
  8. Will pop in when I come to collect my dry cleaning on Sat from Alpines - are you next door to them?
  9. Gerrard and Torres would be nice!
  10. Yes and we said a "fond" farewell to Lehman as well yesterday. Looks like Wenger will have to buy some new players at last!
  11. Just saw an interview with Boris' Dad saying how proud he was of his son for staying off booze for 3 months to win the election! Could be some entertaining times ahead when he gets back on the sauce!
  12. Sorry Huguenot it wasn't me or Southwark apparently - got any spare rooms in Singapore - there might be a mass exodus from London now!
  13. Not the same Barcelona team that I witnessed in Paris two years ago but well done to Man U - what a great goal from Scholes. So history to be made with two english teams in Moscow in 3 weeks time - hope its Liverpool!
  14. Talking of Dads - my dad first went to an Arsenal match in 1944 against Reading! Beat that!
  15. 6-2 is not hard against Derby I know but that puts our goal difference above Chelseas. Now if only Newcastle can do us a favour next Monday we might be in with a chance of 2nd Place!
  16. Now 2-1 up and Adebayor is on - you must have faith!
  17. That is genius! Now if they just moved polling day to a sunday I could have a beer at the same time!
  18. SeanMacGabhann Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > is getting up a few minutes early THAT hard > LadyG? > > c'mon lass - that's not the spirit wot got us a > democracy in the first place 'zit? > > ;-) Yes it is! Postal voting is the way to go!
  19. Voting hours are a nuisance - if you don't get up early to vote in the morning you have to make sure you don't go out after work and get back to ED by 10pm - postal voting is good IMO. Don't know why we can't have voting on Sundays like they do in Europe when people are not working all day.
  20. Votematch got my choices right too and I have already used my postal vote!
  21. Keef - can't understand why you are nervous about thursdays vote - I would have thought you had more important things to be nervous about i.e. a certain football match on wednesday night!
  22. Mr Administrator - is there anyway we can do a poll on here so we can see which way East Dulwich will be voting on Thursday - a bit like voting for your favourite curry house or bar?
  23. Keef - the way our season is going you might well be right!
  24. I noticed two rubbish bins - one by the ticket office and one by the entrance to London Bridge bound trains. Why can't people put their rubbish in these?
  25. Chelsea 1 Man. United 2 Birmingham 1 Liverpool 3 Man. City 2 Fulham 0 Sunderland 2 Middlesbrough 2 Tottenham 2 Bolton 1 West Ham 1 Newcastle 2 Wigan 1 Reading 1 Portsmouth 2 Blackburn 1 Everton 1 Aston Villa 0 Derby v Arsenal
