I'm thinking about getting the tripp trapp too, but is it only suitable for tables of a certain height?? If so, what height? Am guessing I won't be able to use it at the breakfast counter in the kitchen... unless you can get a separate tray?

Hi, My baby is 4.5 months and I'm not sure whether she's ready to drop her afternoon nap. For the last 4 nights she's been awake in the middle of the night for 2-3+ hours(!!) and I just can't seem to do anything to help her back to sleep again. She just seems very awake. We've done some sleep training to help her settle in her cot and normally she'll go to sleep within 5-10 mins for naps so it's definitely wakefulness, rather than difficulty sleeping. What's especially weird is that there is no way I'm able to keep her up for 3 hrs straight in the daytime without her getting extremely upset! She's like clockwork - always ready for a nap 2 hrs from when she last woke up. She's currently having 30-45 mins in the morning, 2hrs at lunchtime and about 20 mins in the afternoon, which doesn't seem unreasonable from what I've read. It's also the routine she pretty much fell into herself, though she has always found it harder to settle for the last nap. The only thing I can think of is that I generally register from when she first goes to sleep, so maybe she's having a lot more rest time than I'm counting and therefore too much? What does the almighty parenting experience of East Dulwich think?! Thanks a lot!

how about a meet up on Tuesday afternoon in that case and try to get together with a few more of the first time mums? Seems a lot of people don't manage to make the Monday meet-ups, and with powerpramming at lunchtime it's quite rushed. Weather forecast is not so good, so stick with tea & cake at The Gardens?

I've been told it's on at The Big Scream in greenwich this Friday... though I can't seem to find it on their website. I'm sure you could call and check though!

Is it worth getting a Bugaboo Cameleon travel bag?

Thanks for the advice. I think we will get one after all as we'll be doing 2-3 long haul flights this year and probably will also have to do a flight transfer. Will be much safer to check it in - and as you say, if you can fill it with extra things too, so much the better! -
Hi Loren, I'm sure there are lots of 1st time mums out there - they're just all hibernating, as like you and me, probably only just getting to grips with this whole baby malarkey! I know there's still quite a few people who are waiting for their little uns to arrive. Perhaps you can suggest a time / place convenient for you and then see who can make it? Mine baby is the same age as yours - we are currently struggling with the crazy 6 week growth spurt! Not easy as I already had problems with my milk supply due to an earlier nursing strike and undiagnosed tongue tie. :( Unfortunately I've been busy all the afternoons this week with various appointments, but I could prob make something next Wednesday. I'm quite likely to miss the Gardens on Monday (if that's on). Also thinking of maybe trying the Nun's Head the following Monday. S

Congratulations guys! Great news. Lots and lots of babies... C - I made these cookies as a labour snack (we ate them all before though) and they were yum. V easy to make it with whatever stuff you've got lying around. They come out enormous though so I would chill the mixture before baking if I did it again to reduce the amount of spreading! http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/2034/bumper-oat-cookies

Hello, Does anyone have any advice on how / where to get a passport photo done for my baby? She'll be travelling at 3 months! Thanks.
