  1. Simbo, I'm just out of intensive care and other wings at Kings College since last Wednesday. I was training in the morning with a team, cycled home - felt rather ill and then lost all neuro transmitter / receptors. Released last night and straight to bed - B/P better than excellent! I've been rehabing during the week with bottles of water so 'may' be good for the morning. McC xx
  2. Snowy, Do you think I can play the 'Blues' on the Pipes? The Sax is sooooooo easzy For the 'Root' of say 'C', I start with ......say F#. Fitness Julia has headed to the land of sleep - she has a fitness group on Brockwell Park, I can see a challenge there in Brockwell :-) Will check in, but.... FT may deal with me. McCabe xx
  3. You guys are beautiful! My wife is going nuts with this idea. Go into Dulwich Park on Sunday morning for 10am (fitness Julia - with some 20 - women around her), walk by and say 'bagpipes' But, how do you measure the uncertainty of challenge? One of my super grandfathers has a statue in Dublin for his progression of the community between Ireland and the UK - should I not do it for him? McCabe
  4. Does anyone play bagpips in East Dulwich? After 4-years, I received my first complaint about my tenor saxaphone - I did explain that there are 3-others within 10-houses. Yet.... this person lives 1/2 a mile away. So, Mr Irish dark curly hair with a ginger beard is heading to the pipes - I need some support to help me play and where to buy some pipes. I will repay with FREE personal training - it doesn't have to be for you, give it as a gift to anyone you know. 6-weeks, and full of fun! McCabe
  5. Such an entertaining morning - how can a bunch of adults be so cheeky and funny when exercising? I use to train an SAS guy, I would drill him into the ground, yet he wanted more! We are comparing (well actually fitness Julia) a dog show tomorrow on Lynhurst / Bellenden Road in Warick Gardens between 2~ 5pm. McCabe x

This Saturday, a 1Ltr bottle of water, passion, change for a tea / coffee at the end. Meet for 10am, at the caf? on the Rye, and will head off at 10-10am. Legs, shoulders, ankles, knees, and a tonne of other muscle sets too will be grooved into. Every section is optional, bad back, legs etc..... there is zero pressure other than atmosphere. McCabe ...... see you then xx

  8. Simbo....Good job! I've had a request to focus more on 'legs, bums & tums', ...'arms, shoulders, core, upper back, lower back, hip flexors etc'. I think this covers the entire body set so will be a tonic for you - and you won't get cold :-) McCabe
  9. Simbo - How are your Adductors......inner thighs? Your husband should be so cross with me - you are so athletically mobile - I couldn't slow you down. You are an inspiration to MS. Thank you for helping me to run the group - the guys (99%)women educate me. McCabe

  13. Do you know anyone in this field...? **Partially sighted, blind or wheelchair bound? If you do, Project London Health runs Saturday fitness & toning groups and would love to involve a wider section of the community. 14. G'day Dulwichgal, The numbers will start to rise again now the children head back to school, we range from a group of 16 upto 30-ish. Have a look at the comments above from some new ones - I think that they really like it :-). On wet days, bring a jacket as the Oxford Dictionary proverb states ...'there's no such thing as bad weather, only wrong clothes'. I'm typically in a purple top, and on wet days in a bright orange waterproof cycle top. ********** Any viewers of this thread with ankle, knee, hip or general low body extremity challenges, you can do the circuit on a bike and dismount every 300m for the group toning. If you are in a wheelchair or with visual impairment, PM me and I will ensure that I can design the circuit for you. Best! McCabe
  15. G'day guys, A great work-out yesterday morning! * c.600 Calories burnt * c.3Km covered in sections of 300m * Power-walkers, joggers and the faster ones working as one team * Team-building through toning, stretching and laughing....and * The faster ones burn a wee bit more! And...., its totally FREE! This group has all ages, abilities and professions - don joggers and we are all equal. McCabe
  16. Hi to all, My throat is more or less back to normal, so looking forward to being back. Catch you all in the morning. Best! McCabe
  17. Hi Dulwichgal, This is a totally FREE group with a combination of ages and abilities. We work as a team in sections of 300m to pre-defined points, where the faster ones circle back to the powerwalkers so they achieve c.450m. A 1 Ltr bottle of water is used for arm, shoulder, back toning and rehydration. At each 3-min stop point we integrate stretching, toning using the benches for dips and the upper back part of the bench for press-ups making them easier. For the legs, we squat, lunge and a few more fun things. For the core, we mainly do this standing up due to dew or wet grass. And at the end head back to the start point at the caf? on the Rye Park for tea / coffee. ** Health challenges ** I set this up 7-years ago for the fit, the getting back to exercise, MS, diabetics and any other health challenges where you can start off at powerwalking. Pop onto www.AHM-Go.com and copy the Health Form and email back to [email protected]. ** Leg / lower extremity issues ** New members with ankle, knee or hip issues can use a bike for each of the 300m sessions - this enables full inclusion. I hope the above helps. McCabe ps. on a Sunday at 10am my wife takes a similar session in Dulwich Park, its a ?5 pay-as-you-go so there is no lock-in for x amount of weeks - Fitness Julia.
  18. Hi to all, The weather for the morning is looking more favourable than this mornings. Catch you then! McCabe
