  1. Hi I have a 4 stroke engine lawn mover in need of repair. Can anyone recommend a local mechanic that can help? Thanks
  2. Thanks Root, i do have very particular requirements with regard to exclusive use sadly but its an occupational hazard i live with. I'm not really looking for state of the art equipment either but a clean functional space to work out in along with discrete operators would be ideal.
  3. Hi, Can anyone shed some light on whether there is a private gym studio in the East Dulwich area (somewhere i can get trained one-to-one without sharing gym space). I did visit the Push studio personal training side last year it but it was in need of some investment which put me off. Now i hear from them that it has been taken over by another individual who has apparently given it some attention. Any help would be much appreciated. BB
  4. Wateracre, I fit your criteria...and I'm up for lining the streets...
  5. Fellow Dulwich residents, We need to push for strategies to be put in place for tonight to prevent attacks on our patch. I know there are local councillors who use and input on this forum. The time to apply pressure for a robust proactive plan is now. I have been listening to Radio 4 and am amazed to here the lack of understanding of what the military are capable of in order to aid the police in circumstances such as those we londoners are experiencing. Two mandates which the Army Forces are trained for are; Military Aid to the Civil Power and Military Aid to the Civil Community. Clearly the police are unable to sustain the presence which is needed to bring order to an increasingly larger area of greater London; taking hundreds of police from the south of the river to aid trouble spots in the north has left subsequential trouble areas (Peckham/ E Dulwich, Chapham Lewisham, Croydon...etc...etc) with little or no police support. The police are not scaled for this; so we need to scale up.
  6. ...i can imagine the report from the PC on duty...a gripping read about the mutt that evaded police capture. . . mmmmm yes i feel the Met Police will give this initiative a stiff ignoring under the guise of Shit Legislation...forgive the intended pun
  7. Fuschia you are quoting behaviours of primitive man....evolution in Peckham...amazing!!
  8. dont worry about your children eating a little doggy do- they swallow far more poo off their own hands after toiletting as a general rule causing gastrointestinal upsets all over my surgery! however from a non medical point of view, there are many more serious issues we can all discuss.... like vaginal laxity after childbirth...oopps there i go again, sorry. But seriously there is no simple way to tackle un-scooped dog sh*t. CCTV, dog sh*t on the spot penalties, banning all dogs from public places... So may i suggest a few ideas: If you are a dog owner and don't habitually clear up after your mutt, please take heed. If you are a dog, please educate your owner as to the inferred East Dulwich etiquitte noted above. If you see a dog owner openly flouting the above etiquitte, and he/she is not blatantly sociopathic then it might be worth offering up the education... If you habitually walk in sh*t, attend the opticians ASAP. If your entrance(!) is perpetually being fouled consider staking out your gate area armed with a .22 biathlon rifle (can i suggest enfilade from a defilade position to avoid the obvious detection and maximise "the one shot one kill" Tom Beringer rationale- target:owner or offending dog..its your choice). Consider a clean pussy instead...(!) From a dog lover (but not in the beastiality sense).
  9. Franklins should really stick to the basics; went for dinner there recently and was served rubber-like mini Scallops. When asked why the Scallops were so thin, the waitress informed me that they were running out so were cutting them in half to cope with the demand (nice business sense - but wholly short sighted!)The whole meal was bland, dull and lacking in seasoning and expensive. To top it off the owner was totally dis-interested in receiving constructive critism; instead he tucked into what looked like a fish and chip take away meal in the corner of the restaurant..running before walking is business suicide if he is to retain the local support.
