  1. He was playing the Undertones on NX Rd today. Made me smile 😊
  2. That?s sad to hear. I do hope all recover.
  3. Heard the air ambulance but didn?t realise it was Hindmans Rd. look out at 7:30pm and no cordon or police.
  4. It?s previously been run as a bowling green for all. My kids loved it and was always a great family day out with a picnic. Costs can?t be that much.
  5. A large tree was being cut down yesterday in a Barry Rd garden backing onto Hindmans Rd. they did a great job! Haven?t heard it today so must be a different house.
  6. We?ve also noticed more. They are great pollinators
  7. If you get a photo, I know someone who may be able to identify them.
  8. Does anyone know how the victim is?
  9. Food vouchers for children on free school meals once the schools close. Many families rely on this cooked meal for their young people.
  10. Sign out front says closed due to serious illness and overseas relocation. Shame they couldn?t sell as a going concern.
  11. Thank you! I will get him to email tonight. Travel to East London not such an issue for us as we are going to travel with him where needed. You are a star :-) bonnierach Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Hey! I work for a creative agency squintopera.com > and we may be able to take him. 12. Looking for a local art, design, photography or advertising agency to take my Yr 10 son for 5 days in June. He is a talented artist and photographer and has experience of using Adobe suite. He's been let down by an agency in East London so we are desperately trying to find another placement. All insurances etc., are covered by the school.
  13. Thank you everyone and in particular those who looked out for it :-)
  14. Faith in humanity restored. It was handed in at Victoria Station and I now have it back. Over the moon (and ring will now be kept in a chain!)
  15. My first thoughts DulwichFox. Tipped out bag, gloves, brolly etc as soon as I got to work. Sadly not there. There is a chance it fell into the barrel of satsumas being offered to commuters at Denmark Hill yesterday, 14 Jan. trying to find out who they were. 16. Thanks, ED Bird and lilolil. It could be anywhere along a much longer journey but thank you for looking out. Still reeling at it's loss - enormous sentimental value.
  17. I may have lost a very precious ring on the way to work this morning. I walked down Hindmans Road, Upland Road, Northcross Road and then on to Lordship Lane outside the Post Office. The ring is a family piece that belonged to my great grandmother. It is a gold signet ring with an engraving of a split-headed eagle. Please let me know if you have found this today.
  18. The school is not that new. It has been in existence for over 4 years, only new to the current site. Mischa Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Thanks. 19. I haven't been to Sainsburys at DKH for several years as I order online. Went recently and found the lighting terrible and ended up with a headache after 15 minutes in there. Won't be repeating that trip again any time soon. ruffers Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > It feels a bit dark to me. > > if it has goen downhill it's not the only one. > Savacentre Sydenham is a shambles these days, just > feels like no one gives a toss.
  20. Why not just restore the original ticket hall and use the existing entrance for exiting only? Am I missing something?
  21. @johnjohn, I haven?t used the Barry cash machine for a very long time so that leaves Family Store BUT I only tap to pay
  22. Same local shops as me! If we?re with the same bank surely there must be an algorithm that finds a link and investigate Hazel81 Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Luckily the fraud system on my card is good and > the transaction was brought to my attention so > they got nothing. > > Interesting to know there are more people We've > been trying to find the common thread between the > 4 people in my home that have been defrauded the > same way.
