  1. I hope the guard is ok. These small supermarkets are always going to struggle with shoplifting- aisles too close together, piled high etc.
  2. Had really wanted this place to be successful but the lack of fresh cooked food meant it struggled. We had a lovely evening there once, fabulous music, attentive staff, great wine ... Left down by re-heated packet food they sold in the shop.
  3. Either that or just as likely, you've got more than one. I find they usually start dropping off around a week after we set bait.
  4. We've been going through this too! And we've had two cancellations because the consultant wasn't available. I'm thinking about insisting he's see at Kings Dental (albeit with the wait) or going private. My impression is that Dulwich Orthodontics are trying to make people go private!
  5. I love that most at Dulwich Fusion people wear all manner of things and very little sight of expensive gym wear
  6. Where I work on the Thames, they fly once or twice a day/every day.
  7. In this case I think the Reception staff have give you the correct information based on their non-clinical role. Saying that, when I've been in this situation, I've arranged a telephone appointment and a referral has been done by the GP without having to see the patient. I would recommend telephoning a week or two later to make sure the referral ahs been sent and also with the receiving clinic, that it's been received (poor processes at both ends means that sometimes referrals aren't received). You will then have to wait up to 3 months to be seen by the clinic. If its an orthopaedic problem, it may be the case that services have been commissioned at a different hospital than the one you want to be referred to so you must make sure with the GP that you are referred appropriately. 8. If they're only appearing on his cheeks and you're breastfeeding, I wouldn't rule out your clothing, body wash or perfume being an irritant.
  9. You don't say how old your kids are. We took our then, 8 yr old and 13 yr old and they definitely took in some culture but also managed a bit of moaning. I would say 4-5 days would be long enough if you paced your activities (not try to cram too much in a day). I would highly recommend getting a hop on hop off bus pass and chose accommodation reasonably central to the attraction you favour the most (we stayed in an AirBnb near the Colosseum. Enjoy! Great city.
  10. Walked past about 15 mins later. Didn't want to stare but pretty sure I saw motorcyclist standing up talking to police. Man in the corner shop said he was ok but bruised and had scrapes.
  11. Please seek clinical advice rather than from a forum (although I know Safron has clinical experience). So many things could be causing your son to be off colour but they can only be investigated by a clinician. Check his skin for redness and rashes and monitor his breathing. Chance is its a virus, chicken pox or similar but please watch for variation of temp that is low.
  12. Agree with a lot of what's been posted. My youngest (now 10) was just like this. School still throws him sometimes but we do lots of love bombing and also find straight forward, non judgemental approach to his feelings really helps. Our son has now diagnosed, mild sensory processing problems and dyslexia (which wouldn't have been diagnosed if I didn't keep pushing testing). His school's approach to PHSE has also made him the most caring, emphatic soul. We positively support his deep emotions. He's a creative in a house of nerdy techies and scientists so we all gain by his sensitivity.
  13. After suffering our own quite significant problems with the management of this practice, I've been blown away today by the very hardworking GPs. I think the best way to get an more immediate response from the practice is to attend a patients meeting and (calmly) voice your concerns and demand a response and timescale for improvement. Going through your MP would take a long time to get a response and would unlikely do anything other than encourage penalisation of the practice rather than encourage improvement. Another avenue would be to write to the CCG with your complaint.
  14. Really good advice in this factsheet about settlement agreements http://www.ms-solicitors.co.uk/employee/settlement-agreements/factsheet-settlement-agreement-advice-for-employees/ - towards the end it says that your employer should pay between ?350-500 towards legal fees.
  15. If you're interested in cooking then I would def recommend stainless steel - and it doesn't have to be expensive. We got ours from an industrial kitchen supplier fitted by our carpenter. I've have friends that rave about marble and I would have loved it but we have a big kitchen to kit out. We also have counters of cherry wood in lower "traffic" areas but I would agree it needs dedicated care.
  16. I would second bobbsy about the fact that it could be a bulging/ruptured disc and the need to get it properly investigated, although as an interim measure (until you can get to see a doctor), I would definitely advocate seeing a good physio (no physio would manipulate until after diagnosis) who may be able to give you accupuncture. I would definitely recommend Dulwich Physiotherapy in Crystal Palace Road. They are not related to the doctors practice but have offices above. They offer great flexibility with appointments including evenings and Saturdays. Do not see a Chiropractor!
  17. Mr Gum books - easy to read but hilarious! Also Michael Morpurgo books for something a little deeper.
  18. Agree with Redjam above. Maybe others have experience but I'm not sure if you can apply in absentia, unless you have an address already in the area.
  19. Love to know the reason locals have complained. I'm local, walk past this twice a day and found the mirror invaluable for crossing from the police station site corner to the opposite side. As the Cosmur site sticks out, as a pedestrian, you cannot see if a car is coming from Upland Rd until you've stuck your head out into oncoming traffic. 20. A return of the mirror on the give way sign would be an early improvement.
  21. Hopefully the learnings will be available to all schools. This awful event can happen anywhere (there was a terrible incident at a middle class Scottish school just a few months ago). Our young people are not immune to these terrible things where ever they go to school. Yes protect our school students but also teach them from a young age in order to prevent them thinking that "tooling up" is not a way for them to "protect" themselves. I dearly hope that the victims recover.
  22. I will be attending their patient forum but I warn them to wear their hard hats!
  23. Your reaction is absolutely natural, I remember feeling exactly the same. Has his hearing been checked? A friend who's son had similar behaviour to what you describe found he had glue ear. blacklashez Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I understand what your saying. 24. Mudchute or Vauxhall City Farm?
