  1. Xmas prezzie of a whole poached salmon, ordered by a son ,which courier company ?DPD/DDP left it propped against front door and have a photo to prove it. Trouble is that they didnt ring door bell (since checked and it is working). I was in, being housebound just about am always am !!!!! Found out at about 6.00pm last when son received text saying had been left in porch but foto showed it against the door to porch . He immediately rang both the courier and Fish vendor .This am the vendor texted him saying that a replacement is on it's way...wow!

  3. Barry Rd is great for the reasons already posted BUT lousy if you are a wheel chair user due to the tree's roots making it at tims impossible to pass.
  4. Not surprised...when sellingprevious house and buying our present one Hepburns missed loads of salient points that we needed to ask vendors of our present. Only found out what these were from the questions asked by peeps, solicotors who were buying our previous house. Hepburns also charged a gross amount on updating our Wills. Was rec'd : Austen Jones Solicitors 145 Upland Road London SE22 0DF Google them to find website and details as to how they operate
  5. Home Library Service is brill. Librarians understand how alone housebound folk were during pandemic and escapeism offered by reading and how it helped mental health, The very small team challenged the council the council to allow them to keep the service going so after lots of meetings it was agreed as long as wore full Protective clothing masks etc, observed social distancing and the users left the books for 3 days before handling it was agreed. Certainly helped my mental health - I wda gone mad with nothing to read.

  13. www.austenjonessolicitors.co.uk very reasonable in fact half the price of our previous local one as they are seld employed so no fancy offices to run...have office in upland rd with admin andsecurity storage, specialists in all sorts- we used for Wills and LPOA, but also have solicitors specialising in conveyancing etc. Will home visit or work by phone (maybe Zoom now). 5 years ago they offered a free 15 min consult. Prices up front for standard jobs- none of this adding more dosh to bill each time a letter is written. Do look at their website.

If your cheek becomes got and swollen it is worth trying 111 again and they will put you onto Kings Dental Hospital Emergancy clinic who may "patch u up"... I did it a few years ago - had to wait about 6 hrs, dentist did summut, gave me antibiotics until cd be followed up by NHS Dentist.

  19. As a wheelchair user bins can make difficulty. My route to Kings takes me along some very narrow pavements where peeps have to keep bins out front. However I ask that owners of these bins do not put them opposite a lamp post or tree as it can be very tricky and sometimes impossible to get berween them.
