We'll need to take our Spaniel somewhere first thing tomorrow if possible. Does anyone know of somewhere that might see him on a Sunday, please? Thanks!

Hello Forum, You have been so good to me in the past, I hope someone can help now! I'm looking for recommendations for companies that will pack up your entire house for you as well as move it to your new one. Going to be moving just after giving birth (how intelligent!) so need the extra muscle power :) THANK YOU!

Recommendation needed for solicitor please!
Mrs Nicklin replied to Mrs Nicklin's topic in Request a Tradesperson
Brilliant. Thanks both of you. I'll give Hepburns & Glazer a call. -
Hi All, Can anyone recommend a good solicitor with excellent communication skills for a standard (we hope) house buying scenario? We had a very painful experience a few years ago with a terrrible company who were subsequently blacklisted by every estate agent we dealt with and I'm keen not to go through the same rigmarole again... THANK YOU!

Just walked past that area and there's water gushing all down the road into the drains while the houses have none. SORT IT OUT, THAMES WATER!!!

Any carpenter free today for a couple of hours?
Mrs Nicklin posted a topic in Request a Tradesperson
Long shot, but is anyone free for a couple of hours TODAY to put on some skirting in one bedroom, please and paint it? The room is 11'11 x10'4 (3.62 x 3.15) and has three straight sides and one with a fireplace where it will be a tad more fiddly. I have the skirting and the paint. W Please text or call me on 07980 311 515 or PM me. THANKS! -
Hi All, We need some help to finish a job with some built-in wardrobes. Should be about half a day's work at most. Does anyone have some time to squeeze us in before the weekend at all? Recommendations gratefully received! Thanks

Is anyone else a writer / media mum working from home?
Mrs Nicklin replied to sarahew's topic in The Family Room Discussion
And me! And me! I'm a freelance wine writer/presenter working from home with a 20 month old girl at nursery Mon & Weds. I have another girl due in Oct, so work's a bit quiet at the mo! I'd love to meet you all. Sarahew, I'll PM you my email too if that's ok? Thanks, Helena -
Another huge recommendation for Severin. I found him on this forum and he's just done a bit painting job for me. Not only are his rates very good, but when faced with lots of extra holes /flaky patches and a chunk f plaster that my husband had *ahem* helped to cause, he patched them up as good as new and the walls now look like they all have a full plastering job done on them! He works like a trojan, is well priced and just gets on with it. Very highly recommended. Severin - email [email protected] or ph 07759930893.

I've had rubbish reception from Vodpahone on Upland road for the last six mnths. This week has been particularly bad though!

Does anyone know what will happen to it one they have gone? Would be nice to have a good food/wine option up this end of LL!

Yep, Fujiyama in Brixton does excellent sushi and they deliver to SE22 for a ?3 surcharge. Give them plenty of warning though. they can take an hr to deliver!

I just wanted to give a shout out to Darren who has just finished a gorgeous painting job for me in my house. He is meticulous and I will certainly get him back in when I need more doing. Good rates too. Darren: 07879 233 900 Mrs N

I'd second Lisa & Simon of Bow Wow Miaow. I use them every week for walks and occasional dog and cat sitting. They came and took my dog Ludwig as soon as I went into labour with my baby too! Lisa: 07956 255 860

It would be great to have some feedback on this company if possible, please. We're thinking about using them for a kitchen refurb. Also, any good recommendations for other companies would be appreciated! Thanks! Mrs N

Autumn babies club (due Sept/Oct/Nov 2013)
Mrs Nicklin replied to woman_of_vigour's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Hi Everyone, I'm also due with number 2 on October 3rd and would love to meet some new mums and mums-to-be. My little girl will be exactly two when the new one comes. AARGH! Scared. Why don't we arrange an afternoon get together, somewhere baby friendly for those who already have little ones, perhaps? The Actress is usually a a good shout.... -
We use Fujiyama in Brixton all the time to deliver to us on Upland Road. There is now a ?3 surcharge which needs to be paid in cash to the delivery person, but they've never refused to come! We love their sushi...

Illustrator wanted for quirky wine book project
Mrs Nicklin posted a topic in Request a Tradesperson
Hi everyone, I'm a wine journo who has just written my first book: Wine basics with a twist! I'm self publishing for various reasons and am looking for someone to illustrate it as the visual impact of the book is going to be almost as important as the words. The bad news is that there's no budget, so ideally, I'd need someone who would be willing to do this is a profit share job or for a small one-off payment. The good news is that I have a PR company very interested in helping me promote this and there will be some great opportunities for proper paid work afterwards, such as commisioned limited edition prints and even personalised prints. I will constantly be promoting the book myself, including using the images on my blog and website (obviously always with a credit) and at book festivals as well as other things. I guess the job would suit someone recently out of art college looking for an interesting project to put on the CV and use as part of their portfolio. What do you think? Please PM me for more details or email [email protected] Thanks! -

Contact details for tongue tie clinic at kings
Mrs Nicklin replied to Ellie78's topic in The Family Room Discussion
I went through all of this at Kings, twice with the same baby. It was hugely stressful. My advice would be - if you can afford ?70 - to get it done privately and immediately by Katie Fisher. She's brilliant. http://www.greatvine.com/katherine-fisher
