  1. There is a guy called Kevin on EDF who is very reasonable called Smith 41.
  2. I asked for Kevin`s help a couple of weeks ago and found him to be very polite and extremely efficient. He arrived on time and charged a very reasonable price. I would definitely call him again if I needed something doing.
  3. I would recommend Kevin who was very prompt and done a very good job for us at a very reasonable price. His user name is smith 41.
  4. Afternoon Could anyone recommend a man and a van who could take away some old carpets and a few bags of off cuts?
  5. Try The Retreat, they are a great bunch of people and really care. They have hundreds of ex- batts and she would fit in nicely. http://www.retreatanimalrescue.org.uk/
  6. The tax man would probably be interested as well if he has been paid cash in hand?
  7. Is is the water board or Gas? Surely not roads at this time of night. Earplugs anyone? My Windows are shaking!
  8. Did they have to get permission to change the road layout? There seems to be no consideration for anyone at all?
  9. Jeanette who worked in the recently closed Roche. You get exactly what you ask for, she has great advice and is very warm and welcoming. I have her number, pm if you want to have a chat with her.
  10. Do we now have to suffer the massive blue metal shed that has taken up just as much, if not more room then the previous temporary office as well as road restrictions that make the corner of the road even more dangerous than before or is this something completely different?
  11. Jen is also around on the forum if anyone needs to get in touch :-)
  12. Jen from Roche is still around and on the forum for anyone who wants to get in touch :-)
  13. She is around (just incase anyone else needs to get in touch) :-) Best haircut I have had in years and it`s great all the time. Highly recommended.
  14. John Hankinson definitely number one for me.
  15. Sorry to hear about the incident involving your boyfriend and I hope is ok but I would just like to ask you to consider how you have described a dog that did not attack, maim or even growl at your boyfriend by the sounds of things and certainly didn`t join in when his uncontrolable "owners" decided to attack your boyfriend. All of a sudden it has turned into a pitbull terrier (unproven as most people wouldn`t know a pitbull terrier if they did fall over one) who has been accused of being dangerous when it infact was off lead because of the "type" of owner it had and infact the owners were dangerous and not the dog?

  17. Thanks Loz, looks like mine may be a fault with the meter. Edf have been brilliant and an engineer is fixing it as I type
  18. Lucky you! I lived in Grove Lane with a CPZ from 8-6. You must have amazing workmen if they work before or after the restricted hours? I now live in Dulwich and don`t stamp my feet when I can`t park directly outside my house, very rarely do I even have to park in adjoining roads. I really don`t mind walking past a few cars to get home! You didin`t mention what a pain it is to go and purchase/renew your permit either @ ?145 a shot I would want it hand delivered :-)
  19. To a lot of people they mean nothing. We have had dogs tied to goal posts, park benches and left to die in the middle of woods, Emaciated and dying through sheer neglect. A 6 week old bishon x puppy was handed in a few weeks ago with problems with his Patella`s, severely dehydrated and full of worms that hadn`t been treated he was in a really bad way. Sadly even after extensive vet treatment he lost his battle :-( Another puppy not even old enough to leave Mum who had no life from the moment he was born. This is Womble, thrown out in the streets with severe Demodex Mange which is easily treatable. She has been one of the lucky one`s. Now rehomed https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.320619921298741.92291.100000522074097&type=3
  20. Sadly this kind of thing happens all the time. We have a cat at New Hope Animal Rescue who was zipped up in a holdall and chucked in the river. Luckily someone saw it happen and managed to get to him. At this time of year loads of animals are dumped because it`s out with the old and in with the new for xmas. A large percentage of the new animals are then thrown out around in the early months of the New year because people can`t be bothered with them or lose interest when the cute puppy or kitten starts to grow. It`s already at crisis point in the animal rescue world because animals are being given up because of personal finances, add to that the hundreds of animals being bred to line the owners pockets and you end up with a lot of unwanted animals with no decent homes to go to. The rescue I work with is non destruct a lot of them aren`t and hundreds of animals are being put to sleep each week. Please think before you buy any animal and ensure you can look after it for life. It should after all be part of the family not a disposable item to be thrown away without consideration of where it may end up.
  21. My shower hasn`t worked for roughly 2 months because of low pressure :-(
