  1. My first never settled well in her Moses basket so spent most nights in bed with us. I bought a snuzpod this time and love it! My son is 5months now and quite tall but still fits nicely in it. I sleep much better knowing I'm not going up squash him but like him being close so I can still reach to settle him if needed without moving out of bed!
  2. We found Darren via recommendations on here. He came and fixed a leaking toilet cistern for us (which was a bit tricky as it is a concealed cistern and the original fitter hadn't left an inspection panel so access to find the source of the leak was difficult!). Darren has made us an inspection panel, fixed the leak and made the tiles covering the area tidy again. His rates are reasonable, he was punctual and polite and most importantly he solved the problem!
  3. Congrats to you all! I'm also a second timer - due 15th Sept. My daughter will be 2 and half. I'll PM my email address too Kate xx
  4. You can go along to a drop in session at children's centre for advice from a Speech and Language Therapist. Don't have up to date details of sessions but this link has a number you could call: http://www.guysandstthomas.nhs.uk/resources/our-services/community/childrens-speech-language/drop-in-sessions.doc
  5. We're going and my friend Nicki with her little girl (who's technically a spring baby but never mind!). See you there! K xx
  6. Will be at gardens cafe from 2pm today if anyone free for coffee? Xx
  7. Hi I've had both tests done (but as an adult and separately as done by different departments for adults). - I've had the camera (gastroscope) a few times and have been sedated for it so have just woken up after it's all finished with no after effects. - I had the pH study probe inserted whilst I was awake which was momentarily quite uncomfortable as it passes down the back of the nose but sounds like your littlun will have it passed whilst asleep so won't know about it. Once the tube was in place, I was initially aware of it at the back of my throat each time I swallowed but soon got used to it. I wasn't aware of any other part of the tube. They'll secure the tube well to your sons face and this really helps to stop it moving too much at the back of the throat as movement did make me gag. I had a mild sore throat for the rest of the day after it was removed but that may just have been me? My experience/personal opinion is that the camera is not a problem and although the pH study was a bit annoying (and I was tempted to pull it out myself at one point), it was worth the discomfort to get a correct diagnosis and the treatment that follows has massively improved my quality of life as I found reflux sooo uncomfortable.
  8. On my way to crooked well to make up for eating healthily all week ;-) Anyone else?
  9. Hi Sue, it might be useful to contact the paediatric Physiotherapists based at Sunshine House in Camberwell if you haven't already. They have Southwark children with a physical disability on their caseload so could pass on information about the club to them.
  10. Can't make this Friday so will miss out on the crumpets :-( Have some for me!! Re: sleep talk, checked with my NCT group and they're all doing well with sleep but seems like quite a few on here interested so should have enough? That would be great if you wouldn't mind having it at yours Bee. I'll bring cakes (essential energy supply to make up for sleepless nights!!). Has anyone contacted child sleep solutions to check availability? K xx
  11. Hi Anna, I'm definitely interested...I've never got through so much under eye concealer in my life...need some sleep!K xx

Will try to join you guys next week when OH back at work (although seem to struggle to get showered and dressed before midday at mo, hoping that'll get easier!) Look forwards to catching up with all and meeting new arrivals! K xx
