  1. I loved the Faith No More come back gig at Brixton a year or so ago despite missing Big sick Ugly Jim Martin, the greatest crunching Flying V player in the universe. Ever. I went to Liquorish last night in the end , but got threatened with death by P Diddy and Jay Z for sitting in their (empty) seats and because I have trouble expressing myself in the physical form (dancing), especially when its to the Jackson Five, I called it a night and headed to Budgens for some wine gums, Razzle and milkshake.

  3. Ahem...are you still "feeling sleepy" fairy?
  4. I have got in and have already demolished a bottle of red and am now watching Traffic Cops. I have an urge to go out somewhere......
  5. The same but without girls or feck. I'm home alone in SE22 as the other half has gone somewhere sunny. So just drink probably.
  6. Somewhere in the distance.....a dog barked....
  7. I genuinely love Louisa.
  8. ....In The Castle.
  9. Word Brendan. My guess is that everyone's favourite Forumista will soon be watching reruns of The Wire on his APPLE WRIST WATCH.
  10. But have you ever gone there to watch TV Brendan....on your phone? It's kinda weird and funky that no?

In fact, it?s got my back up Well you did mention you use it to watch TV in the pub? I personally can't think when I'd ever feel the need to do that. Pubs are mostly a communal thing surely?
  12. At the moment I'm brushing up on Advanced French, enjoying Radio 4's The Bottom Line with Evan Davis and learning all about Fly Fishing in Mexico. Podcasts are great and keep me sane on long trips. Care to share yours?
  13. The yanks go mad for BB messenger...it's almost replaced texts in some parts / demographics
  14. Neither - everyone knows its Tuesday night. I've not been out in ED on a weekend night for six months but got totally ratted last night and had an epic night on the raz that started in Boho, Liquorish via Hisar before ending up messily in the Bishop with two random ladies coming over and buying us drinks. It was almost like a Friday night in 2004.
  15. Oh dear... *Heads back to Lounge*
  16. Having discovered the show/hide function on the forum I can honestly say I now don't need to read any of woofs posts in a thread!
  17. I think there's a difference between what's essential in terms of real productivity value and the useless novelty froth for technologies sake...."just because we can". What gets me about the iphone is all the useless crap apps - the mobile equivalent of novelty kitchen nik nak shops on Lordship Lane. People fill their phones with stuff that makes it sound like a champagne cork and pay 99p for it. Millions of people/geeks are doing this for novelty value creating a market. The mind boggles.....
  18. Brilliant pics Mark...great work. As HMBoab says - I can see the Clockhouse running out of tables if numbers increase further! Apologies to all that I was unable to attend on the day (MrsBen hopefully made amends) but it looked Barry indeed. And Bobby thats a barry vest you were sporting there...
  19. Tradition has it that during this "warm up" the BarryBear(s) will be on display in the Plough Beer garden, which today may also contain a Children's birthday party (!) There will then be an our or so of nervous anticipation/hilarity as new runners mingle with old, on a sunny day in East Dulwich to race the Barry Barry Mile for a luminous china bear. Volunteers will then collect drinks money and orders from the runners, a pint and a short for both ends of the race and a Barry advance party will set off down Barry Barry Road for the Clockhouse, proudly carrying the Barry Bear for the lucky winners. Then after much longer than expected and some barry chaos, the race will start on SurfBobbys command, as scores of runners down their drinks and peg it down Barry Barry Road avoiding such dangers as "Goodrich Road" and the now legendary "Underhill Junction" surprising confused pedestrians, builders and small children. There will then be AWE inspiring scenes at the Clockhouse as runners try to down their last pint and shot... Often the fastest runner is not the best drinker - as in last years drama in the final seconds. Random events or "happenings" can occur en route creating new traditions which are then carried forward to the next years run..... To top it all off, much respected special guest Station Master Barry Marshall from Southern Trains may be on hand to present prizes to the winners. Truely Barry. May today be a feast of non-atheleticism, may the wind be at your back and above all - may your day be BARRY.
  20. Why do something you hate anyway? Life's too short to work with bad people. Why not us the time to think about what you'd really love to do then stop moaning and do it. You'll be dead in 40 odd years. Do you have fear of doing that? Then fight that fear Rosie. Kick it in the gonads. And live! Live like a bird. Be joyous and free sister!! WRONG ANSWER. Ok then - best way is to get up and walk across the office for no apparent reason but just REALLY FAST. Then sit down again and sigh at the stress of it all. Repeat when needed.
  21. Fixed it - now embedded on prev page. Enjoy.
  22. Only the photo is mine......we're looking for some more press tomorrow/Friday but clearly it doesn't work so well with the English papers. The ?50 for use of that picture has been donated to ongoing race funds!
  23. Zero compression bit rates at a low file size. Like an iPhone with a decent battery....it will come. Until then.....
