  1. .. he's also infallible apparently.

But that would remove free will - which is apparently His gift to us. There is of course the argument that all things can only really exist in opposition. Without cold, how would you know warmth for example? In terms of changing the prayer - my understanding is that the Pope can do what he likes. He's God's envoy on earth and as such has a hotline to Him upstairs.
  3. I don't want to sell. I like the area. I just wish it didn't take over an hour to get in to town in the morning.

  5. It's going to start falling apart in days.
  6. Just some plain white fairy lights would be nice. I guess we might as well wait a couple more years now, by which time they may have come back into fashion.
  7. So the new 'brexit deal' says that in the absence of a later agreement, the UK will ensure ?full alignment? with the rules of the customs union and single market, but will categorically be leaving both the customs union and single market. So we're just changing the words and removing any involvement we might have had in negotiating the rules we're 'aligned' to?
  8. So everyone born in Northern Ireland will retain their right to EU citizenship? What about those born in London?

  10. Camberwell and Peckham should definitely have been part of the future Bakerloo line extension. Also, the diversion of the northern line into the Singapore on Thames / money laundering cul-de-sac of Nine elms / Battersea haven't helped. SE London is so poorly served compared to the rest of London and every new transport project is either a bung to property developers or seems to be aimed at already well served areas. Mind you, it's good to see Ealing getting another 2 stations with Crossrail - I think that'll bring them into double figures.

  14. ...lets put him in the driving seat before the inevitable car crash.
  15. Don't get me wrong, I despise Boris - but at the moment he gets to sit back and criticise the way Brexit is being handled ('it would have been great, but for those who did not really believed in it' etc.)and remains the darling of the right. He should be held accountable for the inevitable car crash and then removed in disgrace. Instead hes going to take 'credit' for bringing about brexit, avoid responsibility when it all goes wrong and almost certainly end up in power anyway at the end of it all.
  16. There is absolutely no way that she can satisfy the brextremists in her own party. It's a no deal, or a leadership challenge. But probably not before months of damaging incompetence and infighting. Personally, I would like to see Boris in charge - simply on the grounds of 'you break it, you buy it'.
  17. I can't imagine backpackers wanting to stay in ED. There's no transport and it's largely a suburban, family area.
  18. David Davis has repeatedly lied to Parliament and the public. He has demonstrated gross incompetence and mendacity and should be sacked.
  19. The transport links in SE London generally are way below par. Yet recent new investment has been largely targeted at areas with already excellent provision. It's really not acceptable and acknowledging the situation is the first step towards addressing it.
  20. Surely he will be impeached at some point. He's unhinged.
  21. This is all rather jolly

  24. Shame it's not coming to the Rye
