Do people move to Sutton? I guess some must do. The whole grammar thing is another story altogether of course.
  3. I thought most of the gap-year age children of Dulwich Village consider themselves 'travellers'.
  4. It's in no one's interests for kids to travel across London to go to school. Children should go to their local school, which should be representative of the local community imo. All schools should be good schools and in London, most are. The idea of people moving to be near a 'good school' is grossly exagerated.

As opposed to a primary school for children travelling large distances?
  6. Fair do's fishbiscuit - I was being a bit mischievous. To be fair, I haven't been to the new Forza, so it may be a very positive change. I did like the previous 'dining club' type model as it was a bit different, but I'm sure the new incarnation is also good. Bit gutted about the Nines though. Wonder what will replace it.

So not a big issue > > for me. > > BA Baracus always ends up on the plane anyway. It's true - For an aviophobic he certainly clocks up the air miles. Also quite ironic that he's called 'BA'

  9. Peckham Levels is opening on 8 December.

It's a real shame about The Nines. Forza Win has tidied up too and become more of a conventional restaurant. Is Copeland yard undergoing blandification.

And winter is coming... This^. Driving anywhere in Dulwich is already really difficult. It's hard therefore, to see how much more one might change travel behaviour using 'the stick'. Fundamentally, we need better public transport.
  12. Apparently the Nines is closing too.
  13. We?re nit going to negotiate a deal in time. We?ll go into the ?transition period? (ie business as usual) and brextremists will lose their sh1t. May will get ditched and we?ll end up in paralysis. I suspect things will remain chaotic for a number of years.
  14. I understand that David Davis has already said that the choice will be to vote for the deal they present to Parliament or we leave without a deal.
  15. Not really a shop, but uber hip skate brand Palace have opened an indoor skatepark in Peckham for the winter.

Sounds great.
  17. Skaters are pretty friendly and at most skateparks you'll find plenty of people happy to help beginners.
  18. Also (not free), but might want to check out https://www.dabombshelter.co.uk/
  19. There are also free lessons at House of Vans on a Saturday (you have to book in advance).
  20. That's really horrible. Hope you're not to shaken.
  21. Cycling is already the easiest, or at least fastest option for many - which is why it's so popular with many in the area. For others (for various reasons) it's not an option and road closures won't change that.
  22. You're right about that wulfhound. If we had a tube, a lot of peeps would use their cars less. If you make driving really difficult, whilst buses take over an hour to get in to town and the train service is unreliable / out of service at weekends, people will just move out of the area (at least those who can - the others will just struggle).
  23. Do androids dream of electric jazz?
