  1. Yes, slightly disappointing from Tessa. Will continue to chase. For those who haven't yet signed, please do and continue to share it.
  2. Harriet Harman, Tessa Jowell, Peter John and Simon Hughes have all been written too also. Currently awaiting replies.
  3. Great response from Jenny Jones. Eric Pickles has yet to formally respond to the petition, but I am chasing it. Will provide an update as soon as I can.
  4. There is a big difference between proper Italian pizza and 'american pizza' - which is an almost entirely different product. The type of pizzas Franco Manca produce are not particularly unhealthy, certainly better for you than anything you're likely to get in Dulwich Cafe and not unreasonably priced. FM use Sourdough for their pizza bases which is very nutritious. Lactic acids make the vitamins and minerals in the flour more available to the body by helping neutralise the phytates in flour that would interfere with their absorption. The acids slow down the rate at which glucose is released into the blood-stream and lower the bread's glycaemic index (GI), so it doesn't cause undesirable spikes in insulin A bit of dairy is good for you (lot's of protein, calcium and minerals) as long as you don't over do it.. and as previously mentioned they do offer a cheese free option. Processed meats aren't great I'll grant you, but you can go for one with plenty of veg and tomato. It's a far cry from your 'chedder crust BBQ' frozen pizza.
  5. Dodgy. Wonder if it's the same gang of 'moped hoods' who've been attempting to nick motorbikes round here
  6. Might want to rethink 'an elevated green finger' as tag line though.

  8. .... also, bear in mind that we are comparing it with a fry up from Dulwich Cafe here.
  9. You've quoted nutrition information from a 12" Medium Cheddar Crust BBQ Pizza. Presumably a heavily processed, factory manufactured, frozen one. In case you genuinely aren't aware (I suspect you are) there is a difference.
  10. Isn't there a secure bike hub / park there? Not been, but read about it: http://www.southernrailway.com/southern/news/peckham-rye-cycle-hub-open-for-business/
  11. Oh and whilst I enjoy the odd fry up from Dulwich Cafe... if you think their food is healthy, you're kidding yourself
  12. Louisa - you're barking up the wrong tree with this one. FMs pizzas are reasonably priced, extremely filling and healthy. Better value than anything you would get in Dulwich Cafe and unlike their fry ups, not something you could easily knock up at home. http://www.francomanca.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/FM-Generic-Autumn-20141.pdf
  13. Can you not just tell us who? I would have thought they'd welcome the publicity.
  14. It's strange, their website doesn't say 'posh cheese on toast' either. Go figure.
  15. Yeah, that's true actually. The old guard holding their own.
  16. Good choices, bar (excuse the pun) the Dog, which is closed.
  17. TVs get sick?
  18. how about planting a large tree directly in front of the entrance to Foxtons. Or a very thick bramble bush.
  19. How about replacing all the painted bollards (painted to look like plants) out the front of the shops on Forest Hill Road, with actual trees?
  20. Am I missing something. Does the planning application give more info than I'm seeing? All I can see is that there is an application for change of use to A3 - restaurant or cafe. Anyone have any detail?
  21. A3 - restaurant or cafe?

Blimey. If it materialises, it will cause a furore. Still, may mean the end of the 'performance art bollard'.
