  1. The point is Louisa - your haven't talked about inconsiderate people, but have aimed fire at a particular group whom you've lazily stereotyped. If you changed the word 'yummies', or 'posh' (which you are using in a derogatory way) for 'pikeys' then perhaps you will see how rude, judgmental and down right silly your generalisations are.
  2. I really do wish Southwark would stop with the speed bumps already.
  3. Louisa - you come across as incredibly judgemental (although I suspect this may just be part of your shtick). For someone who professes to dislike snobs, rudeness and prejudice, there is an incoherence in your posts.

  5. Weekend at Bernie's
  6. Even if you're generally happy getting the bus or the overground, I can't really see why you would be against the tube. It's another option and it combines the best characteristics of train / bus - frequency and speed. Camberwell in particular needs some other options, be it the reopening of Camberwell Green train station, or the Bakerloo line extension.
  7. I think the case is pretty conclusively proven.
  8. StraferJack is an anagram of 'A-crafts Jerk' - Pretty blatant cover for Richard 'The Aircraft Jerk' Branson
  9. Do they sell these:
  10. Jah Lush Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I'm not Richard Branson and neither is > StraferJack. That's EXACTLY what Richard Branson would say.
  11. StraferJack is actually Richard Branson. FACT
  12. My point was, they were every 10 minutes and then they reduced the service. They recently (last year), returned the service to what it had been previously (a few years back), so we're only back where we started from.
  13. Yep, in terms of timescales they tweeted that... "Planning is in to change internal layout + 4 weeks ? - then builders + 8 wks"
  14. Well I for one am convinced that StraferJack is actually Richard Branson
  15. If dogs can play billiards and poker, I don't see why they shouldn't be able to regulate their behaviour whilst out walking
  16. My experience of DMC is that, in effect, it doesn't actually exist as a surgery but rather a referral service to Peckham drop in centre. I left a short while ago as I realised that I was quite capable of referring myself to the drop in centre and didn't really require their services in this regard.
  17. That sounded like I was commenting on the amount of time it takes to be asked for 50P (cross posted) - I meant a whole year before the cinema might open.
  18. They've returned to the previous frequency after being cut. So the net gain is nought. Anyway, this was in response to the topic of the thread - weekends, when there is rarely any service at all.
  19. Blimey, that long? I guess it makes sense- lot's of work to change it into a cinema. Guess this is the kind of thing they'll be able to clarify at the 'open days'.
  20. If you want to keep a large animal in your home, maybe there could be an inspection / vetting process, leading to the granting of a licence? It would mean a significant restriction on the number of people who could keep animals, but I'm not sure that would necessarily be a bad thing. first mate Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I would agree with that, problem is how to do it.
  21. The trade in buying and selling live animals and who can own them should be more tightly controlled IMO.
  22. In the last 4 recorded years (between 07/08 and 11/12 ), the number of travellers getting on or off a train at East Dulwich station has increased from 1,360,087 to 2,085,892. It would be good if this exponential growth in traveller numbers could somehow be reflected in the number of trains provided.
  23. I used to be disturbed by the sound of fast cars, but I'm alright Nyyyyooooowww.....
  24. Couldn't agree more. Very exciting. VicCraven Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Let's all get behind this and make it happen. > > Vic :)
  25. I really hope you're wrong on this, but fear you may not be. NewWave Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I foresee LL and ED becoming a mix of chains and > empty shops and all the nice interesting > independents moving out to Sydenham at this rate.
