  1. If it is to be believed, Martin Jol turned down the Toon job because of his relationship with Chris Hughton. It thats true, Jol has gone up hugely in my estimation. I was always thought he'd been shat on by Spurs, and for him to maitain his dignity then, and act in a decent manner over this, is the mark of a decent fella in a dirty business.
  2. This always strikes a note with me, taken from a Paul Simon LP called Hearts & Bones On a cold December evening I was walking through the Christmas tide When a stranger came up and asked me If I'd heard John Lennon had died And the two of us went to this bar And we stayed to close the place And every song we played Was for The Late Great Johnny Ace, yeah, yeah, yeah
  3. Ten months eh? with his record I wouldn't give him ten minutes, he is rubbish and no mistake. What are they thinking of? More expereince? At what, being decidely mediocre?
  4. Honey bee (keep on stinging me) - Supremes
  5. Money - Pink Floyd
  6. I was buying fruit and veg at the old spitalfields market, it was about 4.30am and I was genuinely stunned, especially by the manner in which he met his death. A working class hero is something to be.

    a joke

A prostitute says to a bloke, "we can have sex for a ?10 as I don't have a womb", bloke says, "how do we do it then?" She replies "acwoss the woad against the wailings"
  8. would you believe - Roxy Music
  9. Martin Jol leaving Ajax by mutual consent...........could it be? If he does come back to the Prem, I hope he turns over his former paymasters for the shoddy treatment they dished out to him.
  10. X factor and anything with Simon Cowell Eastenders Coronation Street Emmerdale Poirot
  11. Be young, be foolish, be happy - The Tams
  12. You'd think that they'd have learnt their lesson, the guy has done them proud and that's how they repay him. There should be some kind of safeguard for guys like him that have done a decent job. I guess we supporters should be immune to this sort of behaviour by now but it leaves avery bad taste in the mouth. I hope he gets a job elsewhere and comes back to haunt the ungrateful buggers.
  13. Disgraceful, but not surprising. Look what happened to Martin Jol. Who'll be next, McCarthy, Allardyce (please god), Mancini, perhaps even Ancelloti? This side of football leaves me cold. Apart from Wenger and Ferguson, is there anyone who's safe?

  15. Jonathan Ross, Graham Norton, Adrian Chiles, Robbie (Lily) Savage, Gary Lineker, that'll do to be getting on with.

  18. 2 exquisite goals from Samir, fast taking over the mantle of Arsenals most valuable player.

Maybe to demonstrate that from humble beginnings they have managed to make something of themselves. I say it because its a fact, and I'm not ashmaed of it, its certainly not a badge of honour, just a statement of fact, and I only mention it if I'm asked. Clearly from the way you put this accross you have a problem with it.
  21. Is it me, or does something not smell right about the decision to award Russia the world cup for 2018? Whooops just noticed the other thread, my bad!

Touched a nerve yet again have I? Oh yes, and we didn't lose.;-)

Strange, but not surprising.
