Now police helicopters...

There's a guy in the back gardens between Choumert Road and Danby Street. Loads of police and a few police dogs going through the back gardens. Obviously he's done something very bad. Please lock up and be safe.

Why are house prices so high when the economy is dire?!!?
lje1985 replied to Spooner's topic in The Lounge
Peckham Rye is doing particularly well at the moment - there's the tube which arrives next year, the new pub, pizzeria and delicatessen of Bellenden Road which is now a very nice little high street, and the fact that it's tranquil and has little traffic. You're paying for a great place to live. It'll only get worse once the rest of the world catches on -
I say southwark - fortnightly bin collections
lje1985 replied to Terry Thomas esq's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
although it may not work for everyone, I'm really happy to have a general recycling bin - will be much easier than the current arrangement. Every time my paper bag is too full the recycling people leave it behind. In other news, those of us living on Choumert Road are currently getting 2 collections a week. Seems like quite a waste of money if you ask me -
What on earth is that black smoke over ED??
lje1985 replied to MsDarkwood's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
It's a house or similar on fire near goose green. Loads of smoke. Scary stuff! -
What really concerns me is that this '?7 million over 3 years' doesn't include the capital costs - i.e. the cost of improving kitchens to cater for a larger number of students, the hiring and training of more staff, etc. So we can all expect the real bill to be higher.

Apparently, peeing around your property scares the foxes. People do this to protect chickens they keep in their back garden. To be truly effective, it has to be a man's pee - apparently it smells more scary... Who knew?

Dulwich Hamlets Football Club licence review
lje1985 replied to James Barber's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I think the key point here less about keeping people awake at night and more about the 14 year old boy who got shot - allegedly by a 13 year old, and a young man who was stabbed to death. I think we need to know more about what happened - including whether underage people carrying firearms were admitted and served alcohol. -

Thanks James - and taper, I agree. However, I would like to see the club restricted to admitting only those 21 or above (in the case of private hire). -
Our house was broken into last night... (February 9th)
lje1985 replied to thfc2001's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
We got a Banham lock fitted on our front door with a london bar and birmingham bar to stop people kicking the door in. I'd really recommend them - the keys are extremely difficult to copy and the locks feel very safe. -

I live on Choumert Road and I can hear the screeching too. They really need to sort it out!
