  1. Still, we are going cap in hand to the former colonies for favours now with a few quid in export guarantees and BOGOFFs on offer to buy our limited range of shoddy goods. Do Africa need horrendous landrovers? outside cozy happy valley outposts, toyota is king for a reason. This is what it has come to - the UK is on the back foot and will not get an easy ride on the coattails of empire and up against a wall of chinese free cash. The mawkish gladhanding by the UKG in the continent is a perfect PR oppertunity to be taken advantage of by the African nations involved- and quite rightly so. The favours owing balance is firmly on the side of the former colonies and it is insulting and patronising that we think we have an angle to adopt here, based of a couple of centuries of rapacious exploitation. The massed ranks of gammonati will be more than pleased that visa and access opportunities that will invariably result from this will potentially massively change the immigration profile of the UK over the next decade or two. yeah but

The EU is a NeoLiberal capitalist construct alongside whatever else it may be - in purely pragmatic terms- and dispensing with any theoretical and abstract politicking , it is always better to be in a monolithic bloc than be outside it- as much as it pains me to rationalise it in purely monetary terms.
  3. do we have another blue streak programme about to be launched ? or do we just lease & piggy back existing facilities ( i.e. the EU's) this whole thing is absurd - how can we justify considering spending billions on a competitor for stuff that exists already & that we have significant investment in, to make some point about being nominally independent. We are unable to sort out internal infrastructure projects that are pencilled in a couple of years hence, never mind a space programme that need to be supported for possibly decades.Amongst everything else that needs supported what a steaming turd of a country we are.

  8. The gammon community are utterly furious they do not have a proper war in their lifetime that would have lent some credibility to their scarlet hued fury. Thye do not deserve respect, they deserve to be pilloried for squandering the opportunity to actually do some good and change things for the better. yesterdays men, fat on final salary pensions and nests lined on the stolen gains of privatisation. /

  11. We stayed at the Millenej Hotel in Baska Voda when our two were aged 6 and 8. It's a lovely authentic Croatian resort and the hotel is in apartments so we had two bedrooms and a kitchen/livingroom. It is not far from Split for a day's sight-seeing and there is also a national park in the mountains nearby. https://baskavoda.hr/en/aparthotel-milenij

  13. It would seeem that this ploy to facilitate gammon soft rehabilitation by stealth has fallen on its spotty arse.
  14. car type and location of reservoir ? more likely to be junction or pipe than bottle itself.
  15. This was never meant as a balanced debate any more than Johnsons statement was meant to raise free speech.
  16. you may want to check the definition of gammon then, seeing as your whole position is based on this commonly accepted premise no need to thank me, i am here to assist
  17. argueing liberal tolerance on behalf of a group who entire reason for being is the living embodiment of intolerance does strike me as being rather agenda driven. apply the same reasoning to other known intolerant groupings and your strawman falls flat on its face. I could be wrong but that is a pretty rare occurence. good luck.

  19. White british middle aged men have beeen dealt a pretty good hand in life generally- society caters to their needs and demands over all else. Being called gammon is pretty low bar of insult to people who have had it all their own way all their lives
